David Blake (composer)
David Blake (born 2 September 1936) is an English composer and founder member of the Department of Music at the University of York. Early life and education Blake was born in London. Following national service, he learnt Mandarin Chinese and spent one year in Hong Kong. He went on to read music at Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge, where his teachers were Patrick Hadley, Peter Tranchell and Raymond Leppard. He was awarded the Mendelssohn Scholarship for Composition in 1960, and, uniquely for a British composer of his generation, he went to East Berlin to study with Arnold Schoenberg's pupil, the Marxist composer Hanns Eisler, as a Meisterschüler of the GDR Akademie der Künste (Academy of Arts, Berlin). During this time, he composed the first of his acknowledged compositions – the Variations for Piano and the String Quartet No. 1.

David Blake (English Cricketer)
David Eustace Blake (27 April 1925 – 21 May 2015) was an English amateur cricketer. He was a left-handed batsman who played primarily as an opening batsman and as an occasional wicketkeeper. Blake attended Aldenham School and Guy's Hospital Dental School. He made his first-class debut for Hampshire in 1949 against a Combined Services team. In the same year he made his County Championship debut against Middlesex. Blake played regular matches for the county in the Championship over the coming years. In 1952 Blake played for the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) against Ireland in Dublin. The following year he represented the Free Foresters in a single first-class match against Cambridge University. By the end of the 1954 season Blake's appearances for Hampshire were becoming less frequent and in 1955/56 he toured the West Indies with EW Swanton's XI, and played against the national teams of Barbados and Trinidad and against a West Indies XI. Major General David Valentine Jardine Blake (10 November 1887 – 6 March 1965) was a senior commander of the Australian Army who served in both world wars. Early life David Blake was born on 10 November 1887 in Parramatta, New South Wales. He was educated at Marist Brothers, Parramatta. First World War Blake was commissioned as a career officer in the Australian Army's Permanent Military Forces in 1911. In September 1916, as a major, he became the first commanding officer of the newly formed No. 3 Squadron Australian Flying Corps (then part of the army). The squadron was deployed to Belgium and France in late 1917, performing a combined reconnaissance and offensive role. From early 1918, No. 3 Squadron flew in a sector of the Somme Valley, facing German planes commanded by the "Red Baron", Manfred von Richthofen. Dave Blake
David Robert Blake (March 20, 1925 – February 25, 2008) was a politician in Manitoba, Canada. He was a member of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba from 1971 to 1988, serving as a member of the Progressive Conservative Party. Born on the family farm near Rapid City, Manitoba, Blake served in the Royal Canadian Air Force as a navigator from 1943 to 1945, and was in the Sixth Forward Regiment of the Royal Canadian Engineers from 1948 to 1964. He worked for the Royal Bank of Canada, retiring in 1988. Blake was also active in the Royal Canadian Legion, freemasonry and the Manitoba Wildlife Association. Blake was first elected to the Manitoba legislature in a by-election on November 15, 1971, replacing former Progressive Conservative Premier Walter Weir in the rural riding of Minnedosa. David Blake (born 1971), also known as StankDawg, is the founder of the hacking group Digital DawgPound (DDP) and a long-time member of the hacking community. He is known for being a regular presenter at multiple hacking conferences, but is best known as the creator of the "Binary Revolution" initiative, including being the founding host and producer of ''Binary Revolution Radio'', a long-running weekly Internet radio show which ran 200 episodes from 2003 to 2007. David Blake (born July 31, 1988), better known by his stage name David Stones is an American hip hop recording artist and songwriter from Brooklyn, New York. He is the co-founder of District of Hip Hop also known as the DOHH Squad. David Marvin Blake (born January 18, 1970), better known by his stage names DJ Quik or Da Quiksta, is an American rapper and producer, known for his production in the G-funk style of West Coast hip-hop.
