Dušan Korać ( sr-cyr, Душан Кораћ; born 1969) is a politician in Serbia. He served in the Assembly of Vojvodina from 2016 to 2020 and is currently a member of the municipal council of Apatin. Korać is a member of the Serbian Progressive Party. Private career Korać is a zoo technologist. He lives in Apatin. Politician Municipal politics Korać received the second position on the Progressive Party's electoral list for the Apatin municipal assembly in the 2012 Serbian local elections and was elected when the list won two mandates. He received the same position in the 2016 local elections and was re-elected when the list won twelve mandates. He resigned his local mandate on 20 June 2016. On 21 August 2020, he was appointed as a member of the Apatin municipal council (i.e., the executive branch of the local government). Apatin ( sr-Cyrl, Апатин, , ) is a town and municipality located in the West Bačka District of the autonomous province of Vojvodina, Serbia. As of 2022 census, the population of the town is 14,613, while the municipality has 23,155 inhabitants. The Serbian Progressive Party (, SNS) is a major populist, catch-all party, catch-all List of political parties in Serbia, political party in Serbia. 2016 Serbian Local Elections
Local elections were held in most cities and municipalities of Serbia (excluding the disputed territory of Kosovo) on 24 April 2016, with repeat voting later taking place in some jurisdictions. The elections were held concurrently with the 2016 Serbian parliamentary election and the 2016 Vojvodina provincial election. Elections were not held for the City Assembly of Belgrade, as its members were elected on a different four-year cycle (although local assembly elections were held in the City of Belgrade's constituent municipalities).
