I Don't Wanna Dance (Eddy Grant Song)
"I Don't Wanna Dance" is a 1982 single by Guyanese-British singer-songwriter Eddy Grant. It went to number one on the UK Singles Chart and held there for three weeks in November 1982. It was later released in the United States, but only reached No. 53 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 in late 1983. It was later reissued as the B-side of Grant's " Electric Avenue". The song expresses Eddy's farewell to Britain being a land of class and colour divisions. Grant explained to the Daily Telegraph on 27 June 2008: "I Don't Wanna Dance can mean that you don't want to go out on the dancefloor or it could mean that you don't want to go along with an idea. That's how I try to write: you take it how you want, but I am basically a writer of protest." ''Beneath It All'' is the first EP by American rock band Hey Monday. The band spent the beginning of 2010 finishing the writing and recording of ''Beneath It All'', which was originally going to be their second full-length studio album. On June 23, Hey Monday announced the album name, track listing, as well as deluxe and standard editions of the album. Between late June and early August, the band performed on Warped Tour. On July 23, 2010 lead vocalist Cassadee Pope posted on the official website that it would no longer be an album but a 6-song CD EP (and a 7-song EP on iTunes). She also said that a full-length album would follow in early 2011. The lead single "I Don't Wanna Dance" was released on July 27, 2010, and the video, shot on June 24, premiered on MTV July 29. The Little Ones (band)
The Little Ones was an indie pop band based in Los Angeles, California. The music of the band, which features tambourines and handclaps, has garnered comparisons to 1960s pop bands such as The Beach Boys, The Zombies, The Kinks, modern-day pop group The Shins, and the Elephant Six collective. History Before Ed Reyes and Ian Moreno formed The Little Ones, they were members of an indie rock band called Sunday's Best. Tom Gaebel is a German singer and leader of a big band named after himself. He changed the spelling of his last name, omitting the umlaut. In addition to singing and arranging, Gaebel writes lyrics in English. Gaebel was born on 13 January 1975 in Gelsenkirchen, North Rhine-Westphalia, West Germany, into a musical family. His younger brother Denis Gäbel plays tenor saxophone in the Tom Gaebel big band. Colin Gäbel is a singer and guitarist in addition to being a TV presenter and reporter about computer games; he is a member of the rock band Mondo Kane. Gaebel started music lessons at an early age.
