"Don't Stop" is a single by rock band the Rolling Stones featured on their 2002 compilation album ''Forty Licks''. History Credited to singer Mick Jagger and guitarist Keith Richards, "Don't Stop" was largely the work of Jagger. Writing began during Jagger's preparations for his 2001 album ''Goddess in the Doorway''. At the time of release, he commented: "For me, doing a solo album or a Stones album is all the same, with one proviso: that when I'm writing for the Rolling Stones I don't mind if the song sounds like the ones the Stones do, whereas if I'm writing, but not recording with the Rolling Stones, I don't want the song to contain too many of the clichés that one associates with the Rolling Stones, so I try quite hard to avoid them. Licks Tour
The Licks Tour was a worldwide concert tour undertaken by the Rolling Stones during 2002 and 2003, in support of their 40th anniversary compilation album '' Forty Licks''. The tour grossed over $300 million, becoming the second-highest-grossing tour at that time, behind their own Voodoo Lounge Tour of 1994–1995. Background The itinerary continued the Rolling Stones' practice of mixing theatre, arena, and stadium venues. With little new music to promote, set lists were dynamic and featured a total of 80 different songs. The production was designed by Mark Fisher, Charlie Watts, Mick Jagger, and Patrick Woodroffe. Charles Alfred Leavell (born April 28, 1952) is an American musician. A member of the Allman Brothers Band throughout their commercial zenith in the 1970s, he subsequently became a founding member of the band Sea Level. He has served as the principal touring keyboardist and musical director of the Rolling Stones since 1982. As a session musician, Leavell has performed on every Rolling Stones studio album released since 1983 with the exception of '' Bridges to Babylon'' (1997). He has also played in bands with Miles Davis and Sting, among others. Career Darryl Jones was born on December 11, 1961 in Chicago, Illinois, on the city's south side.
