Don't Lose Your Head (INXS Song)
"Don't Lose Your Head" is the third single from the album ''Elegantly Wasted'' by INXS. Released in Europe (Germany and The Netherlands) and Japan at the end of 1997. No official release for this in USA. The song was written by Michael Hutchence and Andrew Farriss and recorded by the band in Dublin during the summer of 1996. Although it was never officially released as a single in USA, INXS released "Don't Lose Your Head" as a promo tie-in with Paramount's 1997 film ''Face/Off'' starring John Travolta and Nicolas Cage. A Radio Edit version of the single was remixed by Tom Lord-Alge to clean up the opening lyrics; "You wake up in the morning with a starfuck for a friend" to "You wake up in the morning with a dealer for a friend". Trivia According to an interview in the News of the World Sunday Magazine, the lyrics for "Don't Lose Your Head" were aimed squarely at "Oasis" frontman Liam Gallagher with whom Hutchence had many disagreements over the years. ''X'' is the seventh studio album by Australian rock band INXS, released on 25 September 1990 through WEA in Australia, Mercury Records in Europe, and Atlantic Records in the United States and Canada. The follow-up to the massive seller '' Kick'', ''X'' scored hits with "Suicide Blonde" and " Disappear" (both Top 10 in the US). Both singles were later used in the soundtrack to the 1991 American teen comedy ''Mystery Date''. Two other singles from ''X'' were "Bitter Tears" and " By My Side" but they had less chart success. Nick Egan (born 4 July 1957 in London, England) is a visual design artist and director of music videos, commercials and film. He graduated from the Watford College of Art and Design with a DGA in 1976. While attending college, he created cover art for the singles "White Man In Hammersmith Palais" and "Tommy Gun" for The Clash and T-shirt design for the single "Sheena is A Punk Rocker" for The Ramones. His first chart topping album cover was Dexys Midnight Runners' 'Searching For The Young Soul Rebels'. He collaborated with former Sex Pistols manager and fashion entrepreneur Mr. Malcolm McLaren, for whom he designed the album cover for Bow Wow Wow's 'See Jungle'. His longtime partnership with McLaren McLaren led the art direction of McLaren's own inventive albums; Duck Rock and 'Fans'.
