County Donegal ( ; ) is a Counties of Ireland, county of the Republic of Ireland. It is in the Provinces of Ireland, province of Ulster and is the northernmost county of Ireland. Don is a fictional character in the ''Don'' film franchise. He was first introduced in the 1978 film '' Don''. He later appears in a reboot '' Don'' and its sequel ''Don 2''. Created by the writer duo Salim–Javed ( Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar), he was portrayed by Amitabh Bachchan. In the reboot series, Don was played by Shah Rukh Khan (briefly portrayed by Hrithik Roshan in ''Don 2'' in a special appearance). Ranveer Singh was cast as Don in another sequel ''Don 3: A New Era Begins'' which will serve as a reboot to the current films. In the films, Don is characterized as an extremely selfish, manipulative and unapologetic villain, though he is shown to exhibit a little romantic interest in his friend-turned-foe Roma Bhagat. The Don () is the List of rivers of Europe#Rivers of Europe by length, fifth-longest river in Europe. George Don (29 April 1798 – 25 February 1856) was a Scottish botanist and plant collector. Life and career George Don was born at Doo Hillock, Forfar, Angus, Scotland on 29 April 1798 to Caroline Clementina Stuart and George Don (b.1756), principal gardener of the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh in 1802. Don was the elder brother of David Don, also a botanist. He became foreman of the gardens at Chelsea in 1816. In 1821, he was sent to Brazil, the West Indies and Sierra Leone to collect specimens for the Royal Horticultural Society. Most of his discoveries were published by Joseph Sabine, although Don published several new species from Sierra Leone. __NOTOC__ The Don Republic (), later known as the Almighty Don Host (), was an independent self-proclaimed anti-Bolshevik republic formed by the Armed Forces of South Russia on the territory of Don Cossacks against another self-proclaimed Don Soviet Republic. Don Jail
The Don Jail was a jail in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, located to the east of the Don River, on Gerrard Street East in the Riverdale neighbourhood. The original building was completed in 1864 and was reopened in 2013 to serve as the administrative wing of Bridgepoint Active Healthcare, a rehabilitation hospital located adjacent to the jail. Prior to its adaptive reuse as part of a healthcare facility, the building was used as a provincial jail for remanded offenders and was officially known as the Toronto Jail. The jail originally had a capacity of 184 inmates, and it was separated into an east wing for the men and a west wing for the women.
