Dodge City Community College
Dodge City Community College (DC3, DCCC) is a public community college in Dodge City, Kansas, United States. History Campus Founded in 1935, Dodge City Community College was located on the third floor of the Senior High School Building at 1601 First Avenue, for 22 years. By 1957, it had grown large enough to require a move to a different location, at 1000 Second Avenue. The college remained there for the next 13 years. In 1965, the Kansas Legislature passed legislation changing control of the state's junior colleges from the State Board of Education to locally elected Boards. Kansas junior colleges became genuine community colleges, answerable to the citizens in their areas. Ford County voted overwhelmingly to assume responsibility for the college, and in the fall of 1965, the county elected its first board of trustees. Steve Tasker
Steven Jay Tasker (born April 10, 1962) is an American sports reporter and former professional football wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL). He spent the majority of his career with the Buffalo Bills but began his career with the Houston Oilers. He was a five-time first-team All-Pro and a seven-time Pro Bowl selection, primarily as a special teams player. Tasker played college football at Dodge City Community College in Kansas before playing for the Northwestern Wildcats. He was selected in the ninth round of the 1985 NFL draft by the Oilers. Tasker played most of his pro career with Buffalo, and was voted by Bills fans to the team's 50th season All-time Team. Darrin Simmons
Darrin Simmons (born April 9, 1973) is an American football coach who is the assistant head coach and special teams coordinator for the Cincinnati Bengals of the National Football League (NFL). He has coached for the Bengals since 2003. He previously had coaching stints in the NFL with the Baltimore Ravens and Carolina Panthers. He was a punter in college at the University of Kansas. He served as head football coach at Texas Christian University (TCU) from 2000 to 2021, compiling a record of 181–79. Robelyn Annette Garcia (born September 16, 1965) is a former collegiate All-American and professional All-Star basketball player. She was the Big Six Championship Game MVP on the Kansas Crusaders of the Women's Basketball Association (WBA). Garcia was inducted into the Black Archives of Mid-America WBA Hall of Fame on February 22, 2020. Pete Emelianchik
Peter Adam Emelianchik, (born November 19, 1943) is a retired American football player. Emelianchik is one of three players to have played football at Abraham Lincoln High School in Brooklyn and reach the National Football League. Football career Emelianchik played tight end for the Dodge City Junior College Conquistadors in 1961 and 1962, and was voted Junior College All American in 1962. He then played for the University of Richmond Spiders in 1963 and 1964. Emelianchik was voted all-Southern Conference at end as a junior in 1963, but was injured during his senior year and not drafted by any NFL teams. He was signed as a free agent by the Philadelphia Eagles in , and played on special teams in the last game of the season against the Cleveland Browns but did not record any statistics.
