Football Club Dnipro ( uk, Футбо́льний Клуб «Дніпро́», ) was a Ukrainian football club based in Dnipro. The club was owned by the Privat Group that also owns BC Dnipro and Budivelnyk Kyiv. In 2018 FC Dnipro was forced into bankruptcy by FIFA due to multiple legal claims for failing to pay its promised monetary compensation to players and managers. During the Soviet era, the club was a member of the Soviet Volunteer Sports Society "Metallurg" (therefore it carried names Metallurg/Metalurh and Stal) and until 1961 was under sponsorship of the Petrovsky Dnipropetrovsk Metallurgical Plant. After that, the club was sponsored by the Southern Machine-building Plant Yuzhmash and carried both names Russian Dnepr and Ukrainian ''Dnipro'', while Dnepr was also used for international competitions. Dnipro, previously called Dnipropetrovsk from 1926 until May 2016, is Ukraine's fourth-largest city, with about one million inhabitants. FC Dnipro-2 () was the reserve team of FC Dnipro. History The club initially competed in the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast competition as FC Dnipro-2 Dnipropetrovsk . In 1997 the club was entered into the professional leagues to compete in the Second League. FC Dnipro-75 Dnipropretrovsk is a youth football school of Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk. History In late 2000s as a professional football team based in Dnipropetrovsk, Ukraine it competed at the Ukrainian Second League, but was expelled from the PFL after not paying the spring 2010 playing dues. Dnipro-75 Dnipropretrovsk entered the professional competition in 2008. The team grew from their successful youth sports school that was opened in 1975. The team became sponsored by the building company ''DYK'' which invested in forming a professional team in Dnipropetrovsk. Dnipro-75 Dnipropetrovsk competed in the Druha Liha B.
