Great Divide Basin
The Great Divide Basin or Great Divide Closed Basin is an area of land in the Red Desert of Wyoming where none of the water falling as rain to the ground drains into any ocean, directly or indirectly. It is thus an endorheic basin, one of several in North America that adjoin the Continental Divide. To the south and west of the basin is the Green River watershed, draining to the Gulf of California/Pacific Ocean; to the north and east is the North Platte watershed, draining to the Gulf of Mexico. The basin is very roughly rectangular in shape; the northwest corner is at Oregon Buttes near South Pass, about southwest of Lander, and the southeast corner is in the Sierra Madre Range near Bridger Pass, about southwest of Rawlins.Great Basin DivideWashakie Basin) History Although the Great Divide Basin provides a relatively low and easy crossing of the Continental Divide, its aridity and endorheic nature were an obstacle to pioneers during the westward expansion of the Uni ...

Divide County, North Dakota
Divide County is a county in the U.S. state of North Dakota. As of the 2020 census, the population was 2,195, and was estimated to be 2,124 in 2024. The county seat and the largest city is Crosby. History During the election on November 8, 1910, the voters of Williams County determined that the county should be divided into a northern and a southern county. The vote was affirmative; the southern portion retained the Williams name; the newly created county was named "Divide", with Crosby as the seat. The county government was affected on December 9 of that year, and the county's boundaries have remained unchanged since that time. Most histories attribute the county name to its "division" from Williams County, though the county's location on the Laurentian Divide, separating runoff waters between Hudson Bay and Gulf of Mexico, may have been involved. In 1911, Divide County was the site of one of the deadliest tornadoes in North Dakota's recorded history, causing four known dea ...

Division (mathematics)
Division is one of the four basic operations of arithmetic. The other operations are addition, subtraction, and multiplication. What is being divided is called the ''dividend'', which is divided by the ''divisor'', and the result is called the ''quotient''. At an elementary level the division of two natural numbers is, among other Quotition and partition, possible interpretations, the process of calculating the number of times one number is contained within another. For example, if 20 apples are divided evenly between 4 people, everyone receives 5 apples (see picture). However, this number of times or the number contained (divisor) need not be integers. The division with remainder or Euclidean division of two natural numbers provides an integer ''quotient'', which is the number of times the second number is completely contained in the first number, and a ''remainder'', which is the part of the first number that remains, when in the course of computing the quotient, no further ...

Indestructible (Disturbed Album)
''Indestructible'' is the fourth studio album by American heavy metal band Disturbed. A self-produced effort, ''Indestructible'' is the first Disturbed album that did not feature Johnny K, the producer of Disturbed's previous three albums, ''The Sickness'', ''Believe'', and ''Ten Thousand Fists''. ''Indestructible'' was recorded at Groovemaster Studios in Chicago, Illinois. The album features two songs, "Perfect Insanity" and "Divide", that were written by Disturbed prior to their first album, ''The Sickness'', but were never previously released. The album shows Disturbed abandoning the nu metal sound prominent on previous three albums and features significantly darker themes than any of their previous work, according to the band. Some of the lyrical themes involve actual experiences that vocalist David Draiman had endured over the course of the past few years prior to making the album, including "bad relationships", a motorcycle accident that he was involved with, and an inci ...

Division Sign
The division sign () is a mathematical symbol consisting of a short horizontal line with a dot above and another dot below, used in Anglophone countries to indicate the operation of division. This usage is not universal and the symbol has different meanings in other countries. Consequently, its use to denote division is deprecated in the ISO 80000-2 standard for notations used in mathematics, science and technology. In mathematics The obelus, a historical glyph consisting of a horizontal line with (or without) one or more dots, was first used as a symbol for division in 1659, in the algebra book ' by Johann Rahn, although previous writers had used the same symbol for subtraction. pp 270,271 Some near-contemporaries believed that John Pell, who edited the book, may have been responsible for this use of the symbol. Other symbols for division include the slash or solidus , the colon , and the fraction bar (the horizontal bar in a vertical fraction). The ISO 80000-2 st ...

12 Bar Blues (album)
''12 Bar Blues'' is the debut solo album from Scott Weiland and produced by Blair Lamb. Scott was a founding member and singer for Stone Temple Pilots. ''12 Bar Blues'''s sound and style differ greatly from STP's previous releases. The design concept of the cover is a homage to the cover design of John Coltrane's '' Blue Train'' album. The album title comes from the simple chord progression known as "twelve-bar blues". A 25th anniversary vinyl limited pressing (7,500) was offered by Rhino Records for a special Record Store Day release on April 22, 2023. Development In a 1998 interview on MTV's ''120 Minutes'', Weiland states that his then brother-in-law introduced him to Blair Lamb, who recorded and produced ''12 Bar Blues'' with Weiland acting as co-producer. Reception Released in 1998 on Atlantic Records, the album was not a commercial success, selling only 90,000 copies in the United States by June 1998. The album received positive reviews. In a retrospective review, Step ...
