Disputes Involving The Spain Women's National Football Team
The Spain women's national football team has been involved in public disputes, primarily when its players have advocated for improvements and spoken against the national federation (RFEF). For most of its history, the team has had few, long-serving, managers, with the culture of the team under their instruction criticised. On four occasions members of the team have called for institutional change in the conditions of the national team: first in 1996, once after placing bottom of their group at the FIFA Women's World Cup in 2015, again in 2022, and the latest in 2023 immediately after winning the World Cup. Lola Gallardo and Sandra Paﾃｱos were the only players signatory to each dispute between 2015 and 2023, with Alexia Putellas, Irene Paredes and Jennifer Hermoso also significantly involved. ﾃ］gel Marﾃｭa Villar Llona (born 21 January 1950) is a Spanish former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. After having represented Athletic Bilbao during a full decade (appearing in 361 official matches and scoring 11 goals), he went on to serve an even longer stint as president of the Spanish Football Federation. Movistar Plus+ (formerly Movistar+) is the trade name of the subscription platform for digital television owned by Telefﾃｳnica, which operates in Spain. The service is distributed via optical fiber and ADSL and as well as with satellites such as Astra. Jorge Vilda Rodrﾃｭguez (born 7 July 1981) is a Spanish football coach and UEFA Pro Licence holder, who is the current head coach of the Spain women's national football team - a position he has held since 2015. Vilda is also sporting director of the Spanish FA's (RFEF) women's national-team system and tactical instructor at their National Coaching School. This is a list of squads of the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup, an international women's association football tournament that was held in Canada from 6 June until 5 July 2015. The 24 national teams involved in the tournament were required to register a squad of 23 players, including three goalkeepers.
