Playing career Bauermann played sports club, club basketball in the German senior club of BBC Krefeld, from 1975 to 1981. Dirk (or Dirck) Pietersz Crabeth (1501 – 1574) was a Dutch Renaissance glass painter, tapestry designer, and mapmaker. He was employed by the Janskerk (Gouda) during the 16th century, where he created eight of the stained glass windows during the years 1555–1571. Dirk Coster (5 October 1889 – 12 February 1950) was a Dutch physicist. He was a professor of physics and meteorology at the University of Groningen. Coster is known as the co-discoverer of hafnium (element 72) in 1923, along with George de Hevesy, by means of X-ray spectroscopic analysis of zirconium ore. Its name is derived from ''Hafnia'', the Latin name for Copenhagen, as the discovery took place in that city. He helped Lise Meitner escape from Nazi Germany. Dirk Chivers (, last name occasionally Shivers) was a Dutch pirate active in the Red Sea and Indian Ocean. Early career Dirk Chivers is first recorded as a crew member of the ''Portsmouth Adventure'', , under Captain Joseph Faro (or Farrell) around January 1694. Soon after leaving Rhode Island, Chivers saw action in the Red Sea as Farrell and Henry Every successfully captured two ships in June 1695. On its return voyage to Rhode Island, the ''Adventure'' ran aground on Mayotte in the Comoro Islands. Chivers stayed behind with several others while Farrell and the others continued on with Every. Dirk Bruinenberg (born 21 August 1968) is a Dutch musician known as the former drummer of several European progressive metal and power metal bands, including: Elegy, Ian Parry's Consortium Project and Adagio. He is often recognized for his intricate drumming style and technical double bass patterns. In the late 1980s and early 90s, Bruinenberg played with Dutch thrash metal bands Abyss and Vulture. Subsequently, he joined Elegy in 1993, replacing original drummer Ed Warby of Gorefest. He recorded seven albums with Elegy until 2002. Dirk Bootsma (23 May 1936 – 5 October 2020) was a Dutch geneticist. He was a professor at Erasmus University Rotterdam from 1969 and 2002. He and his research group discovered the cause of chronic myelogenous leukemia and furthered the understanding of the nucleotide excision repair. Career Bootsma was born on 23 May 1936.
