Dinorá De Carvalho
Dinorá Gontijo de Carvalho (1 June 1904/5 – 28 February 1980) was a Brazilian people, Brazilian pianist, Conducting, conductor, Music education, music educator and composer. Life Carvalho was born in Uberaba, Minas Gerais, Brazil, and began her study of piano at the Conservatório Dramático e Musical de São Paulo, Conservatório Musical in São Paulo at age six with Maria Lacaz Machado and Carlino Crescenzo. She made her debut as a pianist at age seven playing Mozart and Felix Mendelssohn, Mendelssohn, and later studied with Isidor Philipp in Paris on a Ministry of Culture scholarship. She continued her studies in Brazil with Lamberto Baldi, Martin Brawnvieser, Ernest Mehelich and Camargo Guarnieri. After completing her studies, Carvalho worked as a pianist, composer, conductor and music educator. Uberaba, Minas Gerais
Uberaba () is a municipality in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. It is located in the Brazilian Highlands at an elevation of 823 metres (2,700 ft) above sea level on the Uberaba River, and is situated 418 kilometres (260 mi) from the state capital, Belo Horizonte. The city was granted its status in 1856 and derives its name from the Tupi language, meaning "bright water". As of 2021, the population was 340,277 inhabitants. The Ministry of Culture of Brazil (, MinC) is a cabinet-level federal ministry created in 1985, in the first month of president's José Sarney government, dissolved by Jair Bolsonaro in 2019 and reinstated by Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva in 2023. Dissolution and reinstatement In April 1990, it was dissolved by president Fernando Collor de Mello and transformed into a Culture Secretary, directly linked to the presidency. This situation was reverted two years later, but, in the meantime, in 1991, the law called popularly ''Lei Rouanet'' was created by the secretary of Culture, Sérgio Paulo Rouanet. It is a law that allows companies and individuals to sponsor cultural products, up to respectively 4% and 6% of their income tax. It is a law of incentive to the culture, the most important instrument of the ministry, frequently contested.
