Dieudonné LaMothe
Dieudonné LaMothe (born 29 July 1954) is a Haitian long-distance runner, the first sportsperson from his country to take part in four Olympic Games. Olympic Games LaMothe competed in the 5000 metres at the 1976 Summer Olympics and the marathon at the 1984, 1988 and 1992 Games. He finished last in the 5000 metres in 1976 and last again in the 1984 marathon, although in that case he nevertheless beat the 29 athletes who did not complete the course. LaMothe was one of a number of Haitian runners sent to the Olympic Games by the "Baby Doc" Duvalier regime during the 1970s and 1980s - mostly picked from among Duvalier's personal friends - who gained notoriety by setting record worst times, many of which are still held. Albert Dieudonné (26 November 1889 – 19 March 1976) was a French actor, screenwriter, film director and novelist. Biography Dieudonné was born in Paris, France, and made his acting debut in silent film in 1908 for ''The Assassination of the Duke of Guise'', with musical score by Camille Saint-Saëns. In 1924, he directed the film drama ''Catherine'', in which he also appeared as a major character. Jean Renoir acted as his assistant director on the film. Between 1915 and 1916, Dieudonné acted in five films for director Abel Gance, including the 1915 film ''La Folie du Docteur Tube'' and the 1916 film '' Le périscope''. In 1925 he was hired back to star in the title role in Gance's epic film, ''Napoléon''. In 1929 Dieudonné wrote a novel that was made into a 1930 musical comedy film titled '' The Sweetness of Loving'', and he wrote the script for the 1936 '' La Garçonne''. Adolf Dieudonné (29 August 1864 – 25 October 1944) was a German physician and hygienist, born in Stuttgart. He studied medicine in Tübingen, Berlin, Munich and Würzburg, and, from 1888, was a physician in the Bavarian army. Several years later, he was stationed at the Imperial Health Office in Berlin, where he was exposed to the latest developments of Emil von Behring (1854–1917). In 1897, under the direction of Robert Koch (1843–1910), he along with Georg Gaffky (1850–1918) and Richard Pfeiffer (1858–1945), researched the bubonic plague in Bombay. After his return to Germany, he spent six years as a military physician in Würzburg, where in 1898 he gained his habilitation in hygiene at the university. In 1904, he was appointed to the ''Kriegsakademie'' in Munich, where he instructed military officers, while at the same time teaching classes at the University of Munich. Dieudonné Joseph Saive (; 23 May 1888 – 12 October 1970) was a Belgian small arms designer who designed several well-known firearms for Belgian armsmaker Fabrique Nationale, including the Model 1949 and the FAL (''Fusil Automatique Leger'' or Light Automatic Rifle) rifles. He is also known for modifying several of John Browning's firearms designs, including the 1931 Baby Browning and Browning Hi-Power pistols. Career In 1921, the French military requested that Fabrique Nationale create a new semi-automatic nine millimetre pistol with a 15-round magazine.
