Diego Martínez (footballer, Born February 1984)
Diego Martínez Ruiz (born 4 February 1984) is a Spanish former footballer who played as a goalkeeper, and a manager. Career Martínez was born in Logroño, La Rioja, and played as a senior for SD Loyola and CD Agoncillo. He began his managerial career with Loyola's youth sides, later moving to La Coruña to study and taking over the youth categories of Deportivo de La Coruña before joining the structure of Real Zaragoza in 2009. In March 2014, Martínez was sacked from Zaragoza's ''Juvenil'' squad, and had his first senior experience later in the year, after being named manager of Tercera División side CD Arnedo. In May 2015, he left the latter club to take over fellow league team Náxara CD. On 15 June 2018, after missing out promotion in the play-offs on his three seasons in charge of the club, Martínez left Náxara. Logroño
Logroño ( , , ) is the capital of the autonomous community of La Rioja (Spain), La Rioja, Spain. 2021–22 Segunda División RFEF
The 2021–22 Segunda División RFEF season was the first for the Segunda División RFEF, the new fourth highest level in the Spanish football league system. It supplanted Tercera División, which downgraded to the fifth tier as Tercera División RFEF and succeeded the old Segunda División B, which was replaced by Primera División RFEF as the third level of the pyramid. Ninety teams will participate, divided into five groups of eighteen clubs each based on geographical proximity. In each group, the champions automatically promoted to Primera División RFEF, and the second to fifth placers will play promotion play-offs. 2020–21 Segunda División B
The 2020–21 Segunda División B season was the 44th since its establishment and the last as the third tier. A total of 102 teams participated, and were distributed in three groups of 20 teams each and two groups of 21, with eight subgroups of ten teams each and two with eleven teams each. On 6 May 2020, the Royal Spanish Football Federation announced the expansion of the league to what were initially five groups of 20 teams each for the 2020–21 season due to promotion from the Tercera División groups in the curtailed past season being applied. The season began on 18 October, following approval by each of Spain's autonomous regions' health departments. 2021 Segunda División B Play-offs
The 2021 Segunda División B play-offs (Playoffs de Ascenso or Promoción de Ascenso) were the final play-offs for promotion from 2020–21 Segunda División B to the 2021–22 Segunda División. Due to the new format, the three first placed teams in each one of the five promotion groups, along with the best fourth placed team qualified for the promotion play-offs.
