''Dial 'M' for Motherfucker'' is an album by the New York City garage punk band Pussy Galore, released in April 1989 by Caroline Records. The song "Kicked Out" is played in an Episode of ''House'', "Games", when Gregory House plays it to annoy Wilson and later to induce a seizure in a patient. A music video for the song "Dick Johnson" was directed by Jim Spring and Jens Jurgensen. Critical reception Nick Robinson, reviewer of British music newspaper ''Music Week'', noticed that the listeners can find "beneath the clattering rhythms and chunky guitars" "some heady melodies that aching to break free" and if they will be able to "endure the racket", they will discover "some rough diamonds that are quite irresistible." Pussy Galore (band)
Pussy Galore was an American garage rock band that formed in Washington, D.C. in 1985. They had a constantly fluid line-up until their demise in 1990. They took their name from the character in the James Bond film '' Goldfinger'', and their sound was inspired by The Rolling Stones and Einstürzende Neubauten. History The band's earliest incarnation consisted of guitarist and vocalist Jon Spencer, guitarist and occasional vocalist Julia Cafritz and drummer John Hammill, though this line-up both changed and expanded in later years. Peterborough () is a cathedral city in Cambridgeshire, east of England. She is regarded as a cult figure from the New York City noise music scene of the 1990s. Early life Cafritz was born in Washington, DC, the daughter of Jennifer (née Stats) and Conrad Cafritz, a real estate developer with a personal fortune of over $100 million. Gerald Vincent "Jerry" Casale ( ) ( ''né'' Pizzute; born July 28, 1948) is an American musician. He came to prominence in the late 1970s as co-founder, co-lead vocalist, and bass player of the new wave band Devo, which released a top 20 hit in 1980 with the single " Whip It". Casale is the main lyricist and one of the main composers of Devo's music and directed most of Devo's music videos. He is one of only two members (along with lead singer and keyboardist Mark Mothersbaugh) who have been with Devo throughout its entire history. Casale's brother Bob also performed with the band. Casale pursued a solo career in 2005 while still a member of Devo with the project Jihad Jerry & the Evildoers.
