Tom Forman (actor)
Tom Forman (February 22, 1893 – November 7, 1926) was an American motion picture actor, director, writer, and producer of the early 1920s. Life and career Texas-born Forman made his first film for Jesse L. Lasky's production company in 1914. With the exception of service at the front during World War I, he had a successful career as both an actor and director. Forman directed Lon Chaney's ''Shadows'' (1922), but his biggest achievement was realised directing the second screen version of Owen Wister's '' The Virginian'' (1923). After his career faltered, he was reduced to working on cheap Poverty Row melodramas. Forman is also known for his work with Edith Taliaferro in ''Young Romance''. Forman was set to direct the Columbia film ''The Wreck'', which was to start shooting on November 8, 1926; however on the evening of November 7, Forman died by suicide by shooting himself through the heart at his parents' home in Venice, California. Tom Browne RI, born Thomas Arthur Browne (8 December 1870 – 16 May 1910), was an extremely popular English strip cartoonist, painter and illustrator of the late Victorian and Edwardian periods. He often signed his work as Tom B. Early life Born in Nottingham, the son of Francis Browne, a painter, the young Browne started earning a wage as a milliner's errand boy in 1882. From there he was apprenticed to a lithographic printer and eked out a living with freelance cartoons for London comic papers. He received thirty shillings for his first strip, published by the magazine ''Scraps'', and called "He Knew How To Do It". At the time of the census of 1891, Browne was twenty and was living in lodgings in central Nottingham. He was described as a lithographic designer, and living at the same address were John Clarkson, a lithographic artist, and Lucy Pares, a lace maker, who was a visitor. Jack Richardson (actor)
Jack Howard Richardson (November 18, 1870 – June 12, 1960) was an American actor. Background Born in New York City, he was signed to a contract in silent films in 1911 by the American Company, working there for several years. Richardson appeared in more than 560 films before his death in Santa Barbara, California. In 1911, Richardson travelled with the American Company to film westerns under the company's Flying A banner. Richardson was among a troupe of actors who were based at La Mesa, California, La Mesa who would produce an average of two western films a week. There, Richardson was regularly as a "heavy" or in villain roles. Flying A left La Mesa in 1912, but Richardson would continue to be cast as a villain in cowboy roles, such as "Scarface Jordan", in the 1925 feature Ridin' Wild (1925 film), Ridin' Wild. James Gordon (April 23, 1871 – May 12, 1941) was an American silent film actor. He appeared in more than 120 films between 1911 and 1935. He also directed 4 films between 1913 and 1915, including the 1915 film ''The New Adventures of J. Rufus Wallingford''. Gordon was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on April 23, 1871. He died on May 12, 1941, in Hollywood, California, aged 70, from post-surgical complications. He is buried in Hollywood Forever Cemetery.
