Detroit Titans Men's Soccer
The Detroit Mercy Titans men's soccer program represents the University of Detroit Mercy in all NCAA Division I men's college soccer competitions. Founded in 1987, the Titans compete in the Horizon League. The Titans Coach is Nate Kopunek, who joined the team on March 6, 2023, replacing Coach Deren. Titans plays their home matches at Titan Field, on the Detroit Mercy campus. Coaching history University of Detroit Mercy has had four coaches in their program's existence. Records through 2022 season. Seasons NCAA Tournament history Detroit Mercy have appeared in one NCAA Tournaments. Their sole appearance came in 1996. Rivalries Detroit's primary rival is the Oakland Grizzlies. Both programs compete in the Horizon League and are separated by 15 miles. Andrew Ornoch
Andrzej Mateusz Ornoch (born August 21, 1985) is a former professional footballer. Born in Poland, he represented Canada at international level. Early life Ornoch was born in Poland, but moved to Toronto, Canada at age three with his parents. He began playing youth soccer with North Scarborough SC. He later played with Erin Mills SC. College career In 2003, he began attending the University of Detroit Mercy, where he played for the men's soccer team. In 2005, he was named Player of the Year, Offensive Player of the Year, and named to the All-Horizon League First Team. Over his three seasons with the team, he scored 26 goals in 59 appearances. University Of Detroit Stadium
University of Detroit Stadium, also known as U of D Stadium, Titan Stadium, or Dinan Field, was an outdoor athletic stadium in the north central United States, located on the campus of the University of Detroit in Detroit, Michigan. The stadium opened in 1922, on land that had been acquired for the university's proposed new McNichols campus (the university moved its main campus there in 1927). Detroit Titans Football
The Detroit Titans were the college football team which represented the University of Detroit (now University of Detroit Mercy) from 1896 to 1964. Under head coach Gus Dorais in 1928, the Titans won all nine of their games. Several years later Parke H. Davis, considered to be a "major selector" by the NCAA, named the 1928 team to a share of the national championship. Adam Bedell
Adam Bedell (born December 1, 1991) is an American former professional soccer player who played as a forward. Career Early career Born in Livonia, Michigan, Bedell played high school soccer at Winston Churchill High School and club soccer with the Michigan Crew Soccer Academy Wolves before attending the University of Detroit Mercy (UDM), where he played for the Detroit Titans. Bedell played in a purely defensive role at center back during his freshman and sophomore years at UDM before transitioning to a more attacking role at center midfield/forward for his junior and senior years.
