Dennis Michael Miller (born November 3, 1953) is an American political commentator, stand-up comedian, talk show host, writer, actor and former sportscaster. Miller was a cast member on the NBC sketch comedy series ''Saturday Night Live'' from 1985 to 1991, and he subsequently hosted a string of his own talk shows on HBO, CNBC, and also in syndication. From 2007 to 2015, Miller hosted a daily, three-hour, self-titled talk radio program, nationally syndicated by Westwood One. On March 9, 2020, ''Dennis Miller + One'' show, launched on RT America. It ran twice-weekly and featured celebrity interviews. Miller is listed as 21st on Comedy Central's 100 greatest stand-up comedians of all time, and he was ranked as the best host of ''SNL''s ''Weekend Update'' by ''Vulture''. ''Dennis Miller Live'' is an American weekly late-night talk show on HBO, hosted by comedian Dennis Miller. The show ran 215 episodes from 1994 to 2002, and received five Emmy awards and 11 Emmy nominations. It was also nominated six times for the Writers Guild of America Award for "Best Writing for a Comedy/Variety Series", and won three of those six times. The show was idea of HBO executive producer Michael Fuchs, who told Miller he could use any forum he wanted as long as he brought in the numbers. It was directed by Debbie Palacio for most of its run, and head writers were first Jeff Cesario and then Eddie Feldmann. Other writers included José Arroyo, Rich Dahm, Ed Driscoll, David Feldman, Mike Gandolfi, Jim Hanna, Tom Hertz, Leah Krinsky, Rob Kutner, Rick Overton, Jacob Sager Weinstein, and David S. Weiss. Denny Scott Miller (born Dennis Linn Miller; April 25, 1934 – September 9, 2014) was an American actor, perhaps best known for his regular role as Duke Shannon on ''Wagon Train'', his guest-starring appearances on ''Gilligan's Island'' and ''Charlie's Angels'', and his 1959 film role as Tarzan. Dennis Miller (born July 25, 1969, in Buffalo, New York, United States), is a former American ice hockey player, coach, and scout. Playing career Miller was a four-year letterman at Vermont under head coach Mike Gilligan, appearing in 128 games and logging 37 points in his career. After graduation, Miller played two games for the ECHL's Louisville Icehawks, and five games for Motor České Budějovice in the Czech Republic. He also played two seasons for the Flint Bulldogs of the Colonial Hockey League and wrapped up his playing with the Fort Worth Fire of the Central Hockey League. Coaching career Miller was hired by his alma mater in 1996 to lead Vermont's women's hockey team to full varsity status, starting competition at the NCAA Division III level as it transitioned to NCAA Division I. Squadron Leader Denis "Dusty" Miller DSO DFC (12 November 1918 – 24 March 2009) was a New Zealand bomber and airline pilot. Early life Miller was born in 1918 in New Zealand and educated at Auckland Grammar School. Military career Miller travelled to the United Kingdom in 1941, where he served in RAF Bomber Command. His first posting was to No. 50 Squadron RAF, where he flew Hampdens. He then moved to No. 25 Operational Training Unit RAF to instruct on Vickers Wellingtons.
