Democratic Voice Of Burma
The Democratic Voice of Burma (, abbreviated DVB) is one of Myanmar's largest independent media organisations. DVB was founded as a non-profit media organization based in Oslo, Norway and Chiang Mai, Thailand. Run by Burmese expatriates, it made radio and television broadcasts aimed at providing uncensored news and information about Burma. Since 2012, DVB gradually moved back into Burma, where it became one of the country's largest and most well-respected TV broadcasters. In March 2021, the organisation was banned by Burma's military dictatorship and moved back underground. In high-definition television (HDTV) and video display technology, 1080i is a video display format with 1080 lines of vertical resolution and Interlaced video, interlaced scanning method. This format was once a standard in HDTV. It was particularly used for broadcast television because it can deliver high-resolution images without needing excessive bandwidth. Its CEO, Thaung Su Nyein, is son of Win Aung, a former minister for foreign affairs. History 7Day began circulation on 25 April 2013. Khit Thit Media (; ) is a news agency based in Myanmar (Burma). It is among the few independent news outlets in Myanmar. History Khit Thit Media was established on 1 January 2018 by Tharlun Zaung Htet, its editor-in-chief. Khit Thit Media has been subjected to repeated infringements on freedom of press. In February 2020, nationalists protested in front of Yangon City Hall, calling on Khit Thit Media to remove reporting on nationalist group activities. DVB-T2 is an abbreviation for "Digital Video Broadcasting – Second Generation Terrestrial"; it is the extension of the television standard DVB-T, issued by the consortium DVB, devised for the broadcast transmission of digital terrestrial television.
