Deltarune
''Deltarune'' is an episodic role-playing video game in development by Toby Fox as a follow-up to his 2015 video game ''Undertale''. In the game, the player controls a human teenager, Kris, who is destined to save the world together with Susie, a monster, and Ralsei, a prince from the Dark World. During their quest to seal the Dark Fountains prophesied to end the world, the group makes both friends and foes. The combat system is turn-based and uses bullet hell mechanics. Similarly to ''Undertale'', enemy encounters can be resolved peacefully or through violence. Development of ''Deltarune'' began in 2012, three years before Fox's previous game, ''Undertale'', was released. Though it shares some characters with ''Undertale'' and features similar gameplay, it takes place in a separate setting and uses an overhauled battle system with multiple party members. The game's story is divided into multiple chapters that have been released gradually; its first and second chapters were r ...

Characters Of Undertale And Deltarune
The fantasy role-playing video game ''Undertale,'' developed by Toby Fox, takes place in a universe where monsters once coexisted with humans, but have long since been forgotten in modern times. Its main character is a human child who falls into the Underground, a large cave below Mount Ebott where human wizards trapped the monsters following an ancient war and from which they seek to escape. Its spiritual successor, ''Deltarune'', is an anagram of ''Undertale'', and takes place in a parallel universe featuring many of the same characters. In ''Deltarune'''s universe, humans and monsters still coexist in the modern day. The main character, Kris, discovers the Dark World, an alternate realm inhabited by Darkners, which are beings brought to life from objects originally from the Light World (the regular world). They embark on a quest to close the Dark Fountains before darkness overtakes the real world. The following is a list of major characters who appear in one or both games ...

Undertale
''Undertale'' is a 2015 role-playing video game created by American indie developer Toby Fox. The player controls a child who has fallen into the Underground: a large, secluded region under the surface of the Earth, separated by a magical barrier. The player meets various monsters during the journey back to the surface, some of which may engage in combat. The combat system involves the player navigating through mini-bullet hell attacks by the opponent. They can opt to pacify or subdue monsters in order to spare them instead of killing them. These choices affect the game, with the dialogue, characters, and story changing based on outcomes. Outside of artwork and character designs by Temmie Chang and other guest designers, Fox developed the entirety of the game by himself, including the script and music. The game took inspiration from several sources, including the '' Brandish'', '' Mario & Luigi'', and ''Mother'' role-playing game series, bullet hell shooter series '' Touhou ...

Episodic Video Game
An episodic video game is a video game of a shorter length that is commercially released as an installment to a continuous and larger series. Episodic games differ from conventional video games in that they often contain less content but are developed on a more frequent basis. Such a series may or may not have continuity, but will always share settings, characters, and/or themes. Episodic production in this manner has become increasingly popular among video game developers since the advent of low-cost digital distribution systems, which can immensely reduce their distribution overhead and make episodes financially viable. Alternatively, it can be used to describe the narrative of the game. Examples of episodic video games include most Telltale games, '' Alan Wake'', '' BioShock Infinite: Burial at Sea'', '' Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City'', '' Life Is Strange'', '' Resident Evil: Revelations'' (and '' Revelations 2''), '' Half-Life 2: Episode One'' (and '' Two'') a ...

Bullet Hell
, also known as manic shooter, is a subgenre of shoot 'em up video games with large amounts of projectiles the player is required to dodge. Introduced in 1993 with '' Batsugun'' and initially limited to vertically scrolling shooters, bullet hell elements were later added to other genres. Pure bullet hell games remain a niche genre due to their high level of difficulty. History The origin of the bullet hell genre is attributed to Toaplan, a now-defunct Japanese video game studio that developed arcade shoot 'em ups. In 1993, the studio released '' Batsugun'', an innovative game that, after the first level, featured increasingly complex and hypnotic bullet patterns. In order to make the game more fair to players, only a small part of the player's ship served as the hitbox, rather than the entire vessel itself. This remains a tenet of bullet hell shooters, allowing players to navigate through seemingly impossible swarms of bullets. The company collapsed soon after, but form ...
