Davey Lake (Saskatchewan)
Davey Lake is a small lake in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan in the Churchill River drainage basin. The lake is surrounded by boreal forest and muskeg. It is south-southwest of the town of La Ronge and directly west of Lac la Ronge in the Northern Saskatchewan Administration District. There is no road access. Its outflow is a small creek that leaves the lake at the northern shore and flows a short distance to Biden Lake. Biden Lake's outflow is a tributary of Highway Creek, which flows into Potato Lake. David Smith (27 November 1962 – 18 May 2002) was an English professional wrestler best known for his appearances in the United States with the World Wrestling Federation under the ring names Davey Boy Smith and The British Bulldog. Smith won titles within the WWF in three decades, from the 1980s to the 2000s. Though he was never a world champion, Smith nevertheless headlined multiple pay-per-view events in the WWF and WCW, in which he challenged for the WWF and WCW World Heavyweight championships. Horace Davey, Baron Davey, PC, FRS, FBA (30 August 183320 February 1907) was an English judge and Liberal politician. Background and education Davey was the son of Peter Davey, of Horton, Buckinghamshire and Caroline Emma Pace, and was born in Camberwell, Surrey. He was educated at Rugby and University College, Oxford, where he matriculated on 20 March 1852. He took a double first-class in Classics and Mathematics (Moderations and Finals), was senior mathematical scholar and Eldon law scholar (1859), and was elected a Fellow of his college (1856–67). Having achieved a BA (1856), and an MA (1859) Davey decided on a career in the law. He was admitted to Lincoln's Inn on 19 January 1857. On 26 January 1861, he was called to the Bar at Lincoln's Inn. ''Davey and Goliath'' is an American Christian clay-animated children's television series, whose central characters were created by Art Clokey, Ruth Clokey, and Dick Sutcliffe, and which was produced first by the United Lutheran Church in America and later by the Lutheran Church in America. Davey is a village in Lancaster County, Nebraska, United States. It is part of the Lincoln, Nebraska Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 135 at the 2020 census. History Irish immigrants were the first Europeans to settle northern Lancaster county, followed by other Northern European immigrants such as Danes and Swedes with the passage of the Homestead Act in 1862. The area was originally known as Rock Creek and was served by a Pony Express station in 1871. In 1875, a Danish Lutheran church was built in the area. The town of Davey was founded in the Rock Creek area in 1886 when the Fremont, Elkhorn and Missouri Valley Railroad was extended to that point and was named for Michael Davey, a pioneer citizen. The Davey River is a perennial river located in the south-west region of Tasmania, Australia. Course and features The Davey River rises on the western slopes of the Frankland Range, below Coronation Peak, and flows generally south by west through the Southwest National Park, joined by ten tributaries including the Lora, Frankland, Hardwood, Crossing, and De Witt rivers. The river reaches its mouth in Payne Bay, an inner part of Port Davey, and empties out into the Southern Ocean. The river descends over its course.
