''Dans une galaxie près de chez vous'' (English language, English: ''In a galaxy near you'') is a Quebec French language television series that aired on Canal Famille (later Vrak, Vrak.TV) from January 25, 1999 to November 25, 2001, and a movie of the same name, released in 2004. The second movie, ''Dans une galaxie près de chez vous 2'', was released in April 2008. There have been rumours of a third movie since 2016, but no official announcements have been made. It is a humorous science fiction, sci-fi parody. Paul Ahmarani (born 1972) is a Canadian actor. Ahmarani is known for his roles in the movies '' The Left-Hand Side of the Fridge'' (''La Moitié gauche du frigo'') and '' How My Mother Gave Birth to Me During Menopause'' (''Comment ma mère accoucha de moi durant sa ménopause''). Vrak (stylized as VRΔK) was a Canadian French language specialty channel owned by BCE Inc. subsidiary Bell Media. The channel primarily broadcast live-action programming aimed at 13-to-35 age group audiences. Launched in 1988 as Le Canal Famille, it was originally conceived as French counterpart of the Family Channel under the ownership of Astral Media as well as rival broadcaster YTV, which was also then jointly owned by Rogers Media and CUC Broadcasting at the time.
