Daniel Campbell (3 February 1944 – 16 August 2020) was an English footballer who played for Bradford Park Avenue, Stockport County and West Bromwich Albion. While at West Brom, Campbell was an understudy first to Stan Jones and later to John Talbut. Oldham
Oldham is a large town in Greater Manchester, England, amid the Pennines and between the rivers Irk and Medlock, southeast of Rochdale and northeast of Manchester. It is the administrative centre of the Metropolitan Borough of Oldham, which had a population of 237,110 in 2019. 1966 Football League Cup Final
The 1966 Football League Cup Final, the sixth Football League Cup final to be staged since the competition's inception, was contested between West Bromwich Albion and West Ham United. It was the last to be played over two legs, with West Brom winning 5–3 on aggregate. West Ham won the first leg 2–1 at the Boleyn Ground, with West Ham's goals coming from Bobby Moore and Johnny Byrne, with Jeff Astle scoring for West Brom. John Talbut
John Talbut (20 October 1940 – 14 August 2020) was an English football defender. Talbut initially made his name with Burnley, where he came out of the club's youth system and established himself as a first-team regular, also appearing for the England under-23 team whilst at the club. In December 1966 Jimmy Hagan paid £30,000 to take Talbut to West Bromwich Albion and he soon replaced veteran Stan Jones at the heart of Albion's defence. Talbut was a winner with the Baggies in the 1968 FA Cup Final but also featured on the losing side in the 1970 Football League Cup Final. He never scored a league goal for the club but did find the net once against A.S.
