Eric Johnson (Texas Politician)
Eric Lynn Johnson (born October 10, 1975) is an American politician and attorney who has served as the 60th mayor of Dallas, Texas, since June 2019. A former Democrat, Johnson has been a member of the Republican Party since September 2023. Before his mayoral tenure, Johnson was a member of the Texas House of Representatives, where he represented the 100th District in the cities of Dallas and Mesquite. The State Fair of Texas is an annual state fair held in Dallas at historic Fair Park. The fair has taken place every year since 1886 except for varying periods during World War I and World War II as well as 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
