Daimler Regency
The Daimler Regency series was a luxury car made in Coventry by The Daimler Company Limited between 1951 and 1958. Only an estimated 49 examples of the 3-litre Regency chassis were made because demand for new cars collapsed just weeks after its introduction. Almost three years later in October 1954, a lengthened more powerful Regency Mark II (DF304) was announced but, in turn, after a production run of 345 cars, it was replaced by the very much faster, up-rated One-O-Four (DF310), announced in October 1955. Regency DF300/1 Displayed to the press on 26 September and the following week at the Paris Motor Show, it was first shown to the British public at the October 1951 Motor Show. Barker & Co. was a British coachbuilder, a maker of carriages and in the 20th century Car body style, bodywork for Luxury vehicle, prestige cars, including Rolls-Royce Limited, Rolls-Royce, Bentley, and Daimler Company, Daimler. It was first published in 1895 and refers to itself as "the world's oldest car magazine". Trafficators are Semaphore (other), semaphore signals which, when operated, protrude from the bodywork of a motor vehicle to indicate its intention to turn in the direction indicated by the pointing signal. Trafficators are often located at the door A-pillar, pillar. History They first appeared in the 1900s, when they were actuated either mechanically or pneumatically. In 1908, Alfredo Barrachini in Rome added electric lights inside the arms that turned on as they extended, but operation was still by a cable system. Electric operation came in 1918 when the Naillik Motor Signal Company of Boston added electric motor drive. This system was superseded by two France, French inventors, Gustave Deneef and Maurice Boisson, who used a linear solenoid in 1923.
