Cruis'n USA
''Cruis'n USA'' is an arcade game, arcade racing video game, racing game originally released in 1994. It was developed by Eugene Jarvis' company TV Games Inc., and manufactured by Midway Games. It is the first game in the ''Cruis'n'' series and features races set in locations across the continental United States. ''Cruis'n USA'' is branded as the first release of the "Ultra 64" platform collaboration between Midway and Nintendo, although it was based on the Midway V-unit arcade hardware, predating the ''Killer Instinct (1994 video game), Killer Instinct'' arcade hardware which would become the Nintendo 64. The home port was published by Nintendo as part of the deal. The arcade version was critically and commercially successful, drawing favorable comparisons to Sega's ''Daytona USA''. Midway Studios San Diego
Midway Studios San Diego (known as THQ San Diego from 2009 to 2012) was a game developer based in San Diego, California. It was the successor to the Leland Corporation and Cinematronics. History In 1994, Midway Games parent WMS Industries bought the Texas-based game publisher Tradewest and its San Diego-based subsidiary studio Leland Corporation to expand into home console publishing. Tradewest became known briefly as Williams Entertainment before being renamed Midway Home Entertainment in 1996; the San Diego studio was renamed Midway Studios San Diego. ''Defender'' is a scrolling shooter video game developed by WMS Industries, Williams Electronics in 1980 and released for Arcade game, arcades in 1981. A side-scrolling shooter, the game is set on either an unnamed planet or city (depending on platform) where the player must defeat waves of invading aliens while protecting astronauts. WMS Industries, Inc. was an American electronic gaming and amusement manufacturer in Enterprise, Nevada. It was merged into Scientific Games in 2016. WMS's predecessor was the Williams Manufacturing Company, founded in 1943 by Harry E. Williams. However, the company that became WMS Industries was formally founded in 1974 as Williams Electronics, Inc. Williams initially was a manufacturer of pinball machines. The Chevrolet Caprice is a full-sized automobile produced by Chevrolet in North America for the 1965 to 1996 model years. Full-size Chevrolet sales peaked in 1965 with over a million sold. Hyundai California Design Concepts
The Hyundai California Design (HCD) concept vehicles were designed at the Hyundai Motor Company's California studio for the North American market. The first concept vehicle, the HCD-1, was a targa-top sports car aimed at the Mazda Miata, and was unveiled in 1992, but was never produced.
