Alice R. Crites is a ''Washington Post'' librarian and the researcher on the three-member team that won the 2018 Pulitzer Prize for Investigative Reporting. Crites has been a researcher on six different Pulitzer-winning teams at ''Washington Post'', 2006, 2008, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018. She is an advocate for the role of researchers and news libraries in the support of journalism, saying "We're cost effective. We're expert searchers.... Mike Crites
Don Michael Crites (born June 16, 1948) is an American politician and member of the Republican Party and former United States Attorney for the Southern District of Ohio in the administrations of Presidents Ronald Reagan and George H. W. Bush. He was a candidate for Ohio Attorney General in 2008. He currently resides in Powell, Ohio. Early life and education Crites was born in Bluffton, Ohio and raised in Lima, Ohio. Upon graduation from Lima Shawnee High School in 1966, he received an appointment to the United States Naval Academy and graduated in 1970. He was commissioned an officer in the United States Navy and served in the United States Navy and Naval Reserve until October 1999 retiring with the rank of Captain. Shirley Crites
Shirley L. Crites (August 21, 1934 – December 28, 1990) was an infielder who played in the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League during the season. Crites batted and threw right-handed. She was born in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. "Squirrely", as her teammates nicknamed her, played briefly for the 1953 pennant-winning Fort Wayne Daisies. She hit a .129 average in 47 games, appearing mainly at third base as a backup to incumbent Catherine Horstman, which gave manager Bill Allington the chance to use Horstman more as a pitcher. Fort Wayne clinched the title with a 66–39 record, 4½ games ahead of the Grand Rapids Chicks, but lost to the Kalamazoo Lassies in the first round series. Crites went 0-for-3 in a playoff game. Winston Crite
Winston Arnel Crite (born June 20, 1965) is a retired American professional basketball player who currently trains young players. After a very successful career at Texas A&M University, Crite was selected with 53rd overall (7th in third round) pick in the 1987 NBA draft by the Phoenix Suns and spent two following seasons in the NBA playing for Suns. Afterwards he played professionally in Europe. At 6'7" (2.00 m) and 233 lb (106 kg), he played power forward. Early years Winston Crite was born and raised in Bakersfield, California. Critters (film Series)
The ''Critters'' franchise, includes American science fiction comedy-horror installments consisting of five feature films, and one television series. The original film was released in 1986 and received "two thumbs up" from Siskel and Ebert. Although widely believed to have been made to cash in on the success of the similarly themed ''Gremlins'', director Stephen Herek had refuted this in interviews, pointing out that the first ''Critters'' script was written by Domonic Muir long before ''Gremlins'' went into production, and subsequently underwent rewrites to reduce the similarities between the two films.
