Chris Potter (record Producer)
Chris Potter is a British record producer and mixer, most known for his work as long-term collaborator and producer of The Verve and Richard Ashcroft. Potter started his career at Maison Rouge Studios in London, where he worked his way up through the ranks to chief engineer. After several successful years there, he left to further his career as a freelance producer and mixer. He has worked with many artists of note including The Rolling Stones and U2 and won a Brit Award for 'Best Producer' in 1998 for his work on The Verve's ''Urban Hymns''. After enjoying worldwide success with his productions and mixes on ''Urban Hymns'', he continued to work with Richard Ashcroft on his solo albums. The Verve
The Verve were an English Rock music, rock band formed in Wigan in 1990 by lead vocalist Richard Ashcroft, guitarist Nick McCabe, bass guitarist Simon Jones (musician), Simon Jones and drummer Peter Salisbury. Guitarist and keyboard player Simon Tong later became a member in their first reunion only. Beginning with a Psychedelic rock, psychedelic sound with their debut LP ''A Storm in Heaven'', by the mid-1990s the band had released several Extended play, EPs and four albums. They also endured name and line-up changes, break-ups, health problems, drug abuse and various lawsuits. Forth (album)
''Forth'' is the fourth and final studio album by the English alternative rock band the Verve before their third break up in 2009. It was released internationally on 25 August 2008 on EMI and a day later in North America on the On Your Own label. The band reformed in 2007, having broken up in 1999. ''Forth'' was their first album of new material since their 1997 album ''Urban Hymns'' and their first since 1995's '' A Northern Soul'' to feature the original line-up without second guitarist and keyboardist Simon Tong. It is also the second album to feature the ''Urban Hymns'' and Ashcroft's solo album producer Chris Potter. The album's first single, "Love Is Noise", received its first airplay on BBC Radio 1 on 23 June 2008. The song reached number 4 on the UK Singles Chart and became a summer hit in Europe. Eagle-Eye Lanoo Cherry (born 7 May 1968) is a Swedish singer and stage performer. His 1997 single "Save Tonight" achieved commercial success in Ireland, the United States and the United Kingdom, and was voted song of the year in New Zealand. Cherry is the son of American jazz artist Don Cherry and Swedish artist and designer Moki Cherry. Tina Dico (born Tina Dickow Danielsen on 14 October 1977) is a Danish singer-songwriter. She founded her own record label and releases her music independently, enjoying large success with her albums in her home country as well as critical acclaim across Europe. She is inspired by artists such as Tracy Chapman, Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen. In Denmark she performs both under her real name, Tina Dickow, and under the adopted name Tina Dico as well. The Orb
The Orb are an English electronic music group founded in 1988 by Alex Paterson and Jimmy Cauty. Louise Gabrielle Bobb (born 19 July 1969), known professionally as Gabrielle, is a British singer and songwriter. Bobb was born in Hackney, London. She released her debut single, "Dreams", in 1993, and it topped the UK Singles Chart the same year. Whale (band)
Whale was a Swedish alternative rock group active from 1992 to 1999. Career Gordon Cyrus and Henrik Schyffert met while working on a commercial and decided to collaborate on a music track. Schyffert recruited his then-girlfriend, Cia Berg, to perform vocals. The band enjoyed some success, particularly in the European market. Their first single, 1993's " Hobo Humpin' Slobo Babe", was positively received by critics and received heavy spins in the Euro dance club scene and saturation airplay on MTV. Flowered Up
Flowered Up were an English indie pop- alternative dance band, formed in Camden Town, London in 1989, active during the Baggy movement. Their 13-minute single " Weekender" reached the UK top 20. The band split up in 1994 amid drug problems. The Clash
The Clash were an English rock band formed in London in 1976 who were key players in the original wave of British punk rock. Billed as "The Only Band That Matters", they also contributed to the and new wave movements that emerged in the wake of punk and employed elements of a variety of genres including reggae, dub, funk, ska, and rockabilly. For most of their recording career, the Clash consisted of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Joe Strummer, lead guitarist and vocalist Mick Jones, bassist Paul Simonon, and drummer Nicky "Topper" Headon. The Zombies
The Zombies are an English rock band formed in the early 1960s in St Albans and led by keyboardist and vocalist Rod Argent and vocalist Colin Blunstone.
