Chris Holt (ice Hockey)
Christopher Holt (born June 5, 1985) is a Canadian-born American former professional hockey goaltender who last played with the Braehead Clan of the Elite Ice Hockey League. He also played for the New York Rangers and St. Louis Blues of the National Hockey League, Dinamo Riga, HC Donbass of the Kontinental Hockey League and Orli Znojmo of the Austrian Hockey League. Playing career Holt was drafted 180th overall in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft by the New York Rangers. Holt was first called up from the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League (AHL) in December 2005 as backup to Henrik Lundqvist while starting goalie Kevin Weekes was injured. He played just over 10 minutes in one game, not allowing a goal becoming the first former Billings Bulls player to play in the NHL. He was sent back down to Hartford but was recalled to the Rangers on February 23, 2006. Christopher Michael Holt (born September 18, 1971) is a former pitcher for the Houston Astros (1996–1997 and 1999–2000) and Detroit Tigers (2001). He was a member of the Astros' National League Central Division champions in 1997 and 1999. Holt made his major league debut in 1996, appearing in 4 games. The following season, he was 8-12 with a career low 3.52 ERA in innings. He missed the 1998 season due to injury and came back in 1999. Holt was not as he had pitched in his rookie season, posting a record of 5-13 in 32 games (26 starts). On April 28, 2000, he tossed a one-hitter against the Milwaukee Brewers. On the 2000 season, Holt tied a career high in wins with 8 but posted an ERA of 5.35 while losing 16 games. He also struck out a career high 136. Christopher Anthony Holt (born April 19, 1979) is an American professional baseball former pitcher and current pitching coach for the Baltimore Orioles of Major League Baseball (MLB). Married to Shana Holt with two children. Biography Holt attended Saint Joseph's College of Maine and transferred to Flagler College, where he played college baseball as a pitcher. The Pittsburgh Pirates selected him in the 21st round of the 2002 MLB draft. He played at the Class A Short Season level in 2002 for the Williamsport Crosscutters. Released by Pittsburgh in 2003, Holt pitched in Austria in 2004 before becoming a coach at Flagler College in 2005. He coached at Ponte Vedra High School from 2009 to 2011.
