Caxton Street Seafood And Wine Festival
The Caxton Street Seafood and Wine Festival is an annual event in Brisbane, Australia. It was founded in 1994 by the Caxton Street Development Association to promote Caxton Street, in historic Petrie Terrace, as an area for Australian music, food and drink, plus art and history. The area is near to the Suncorp Stadium and the Brisbane central business district. The festival was held annually on the Sunday of the Labour Day long weekend in May, until 2013; since 2014, it has been held on the Queen's Birthday long weekend in June. By 2012, the festival had attracted more than 15,000 patrons. Ticket proceeds were donated to various Queensland charities (in 2012 to the Wesley Hospital Kim Walters Choices Program). Kevin Borich
Kevin Nicholas Borich (born 27 October 1948, Huapai, North Island, New Zealand) is a New Zealand-born Australian guitarist and singer-songwriter. He was a founding member of The La De Das, the leader of Kevin Borich Express, and a founding member of The Party Boys, as well as a session musician for numerous acts. Borich wrote "Gonna See My Baby Tonight" for The La De Das, which became a top 10 hit in 1971 on the Australian singles chart. Diana Anaid (born Newcastle, 8 April 1976) is the performance name of Diana Gosper, an Australian alternative rock singer-songwriter. From 1997 to 2003 she used the moniker, Diana ah Naid. Tyrone ("Ty") Noonan is an Australian musician, best known for his vocals, guitars, keyboards and songwriting in the Brisbane band George. Don Walker (musician)
Donald Hugh Walker (born 29 November 1951) is an Australian musician and songwriter who wrote many of the hits for Australian pub rock band Cold Chisel. Walker is considered to be one of Australia's best songwriters. In 2012 he was inducted into the Australian Songwriter's Hall of Fame. He played piano and keyboard with the Cold Chisel from 1973 to 1983, when they disbanded. He has since continued to record and tour, both solo, initially under the name Catfish and as Tex, Don and Charlie, and worked as a songwriter for others. In 2009, he released his first book. Richard Clapton describes Walker as, "the most Australian writer there has ever been. Don just digs being a sort of Beat poet, who goes around observing, especially around the streets of Kings Cross.
