Česká Lípa District () is a Okres, district in the Liberec Region of the Czech Republic. Its capital is the town of Česká Lípa. Districts Of The Czech Republic
Districts of the Czech Republic are territorial units, formerly used as second-level administrative divisions of the Czech Republic. After their primary administrative function has been abolished in 2003, they still exist for the activities of specific authorities and as statistical units. Their administrative function was moved to selected municipalities. Establishment In 1960, Czechoslovakia was re-divided into districts (''okres'', Grammatical number, plural ''okresy''), often without regard to traditional division and local relationships. Doksy () is a town in Česká Lípa District in the Liberec Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 5,100 inhabitants. It is known for Lake Mácha and its summer vacation resort. Kvítkov
Kvítkov is a municipality and village in Česká Lípa District in the Liberec Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 200 inhabitants. Geography Kvítkov is located about southwest of Česká Lípa and southwest of Liberec. It lies mostly in the Ralsko Uplands. A small part of the municipal territory extends into the Central Bohemian Uplands in the northwest and includes the highest point of Kvítkov at above sea level. Kunratice u Cvikova () is a municipality and village in Česká Lípa District in the Liberec Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 600 inhabitants. Etymology The name is derived from the personal name Kunrát, meaning "the village of Kunrát's people". Geography Kunratice u Cvikova is located about northeast of Česká Lípa and west of Liberec. Horní Libchava () is a municipality and village in Česká Lípa District in the Liberec Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 900 inhabitants. Etymology The earliest writing of the name Libchava was ''Lubchava''. The name consists of the adjective ''ľubý'' (meaning 'nice', 'pleasant') and the suffix -ava, used to name watercourses.
