The Lion Rock Tunnel, the first major road tunnel in Hong Kong, is a twin-board toll tunnel, connecting Hin Tin, Sha Tin in the New Territories and New Kowloon near Kowloon Tong. Scenic Hill Tunnel () is a road tunnel located on the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macau Bridge, in Scenic Hill, Chek Lap Kok, Lantau Island, Hong Kong. Nam Wan Tunnel
Nam Wan Tunnel is a tunnel in Hong Kong opened to traffic on 20 December 2009, along with the West Tsing Yi Viaduct, East Tsing Yi Viaduct and Stonecutters Bridge. The construction of the road tunnel, which forms an important part of the Hong Kong dollar, HK$15 billion Route 8 (Hong Kong), Route 8, linking Tsing Yi and Sha Tin in the city, began in 2003 and was completed in 2007. The twin-tube tunnel, built by the Highways Department of the Government of Hong Kong, is long and has three lanes in either direction in the southern part of Tsing Yi from Sai Tso Wan, Tsing Yi, Sai Tso Wan to Nam Wan Kok. Tsing Sha Highway () is a major expressway in Hong Kong, which links the island of Tsing Yi to Sha Tin. The road is part of Route 8, which starts in Sha Tin and terminates in Tung Chung. Discovery Bay Tunnel
The Discovery Bay Tunnel () is a toll tunnel that links Discovery Bay Road at Yi Pak Au to Cheung Tung Road at Siu Ho Wan beside the North Lantau Highway. It was built for the Discovery Bay residential development on the north-eastern coast of Lantau Island, Hong Kong. It is open 24 hours everyday to vehicles approved by the Transport Department; including residents' coaches, goods vehicles for goods delivery and servicing functions, and Hong Kong Government vehicles are allowed to use the tunnel. The toll charge ranges between HK$ 50.00 to 250.00 depending on the type of vehicle. As the development is car-free, private vehicles are discouraged from entering. Private cars or private delivery vans can only enter with special permits issued in advance, between the hours of 09:00 and 18:00 every day. Cheung Tsing Tunnel
Cheung Tsing Tunnel, also spelled Cheung Ching Tunnel, is a dual-tube, 3-lane tunnel on Tsing Yi Island, Hong Kong. It is part of Route 3. Its east end connects to Cheung Tsing Bridge and west Cheung Tsing Highway. The tunnel was opened on 22 May 1997 and is the second toll-free tunnel in Hong Kong. Its length is about 1.6 kilometres. Tai Lam Tunnel () is a tunnel in Hong Kong that forms part of the Tsing Long Highway of Route 3. It links Pat Heung and Ting Kau in the western New Territories. The tunnel was constructed to ease traffic congestion on the Tuen Mun Road, Castle Peak Road and in Tate's Cairn Tunnel. It also links traffic directly from New Territories West to urban areas of Kowloon West and Hong Kong Island, as well as Hong Kong International Airport and the Kwai Tsing Container Terminals. Shing Mun Tunnels
The Shing Mun Tunnels are a system of tunnels and viaducts in the New Territories, Hong Kong connecting the new towns of Tsuen Wan to the west and Sha Tin to the east. They are a part of Route 9 and the Tsuen Wan entrance is the reset point (As Route 9 is apparently a loop) of Route 9. Construction started on 11 February 1987 and the tunnels opened on 20 April 1990. They are made up of three sections, each with twin two-lane tunnels (one each way). The westerly pair passes through Smuggler's Ridge near Shing Mun Reservoir, where it gets its name from; the easterly pair passes through Needle Hill and is linked to the westerly pair by two viaducts over Lower Shing Mun Reservoir. The toll plaza and bus interchange are located outside the Tsuen Wan end of the tunnel.
