Caddy Works
Pierce "Caddy" Works (January 2, 1896 – July 19, 1982) was an American basketball and baseball coach. He was the head basketball coach at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA)—known as the Southern Branch of the University of California until 1927—for 18 seasons, from 1921 to 1939, compiling a record of 173–159. Works was also the head baseball coach at Southern Branch from 1925 to 1926, tallying a mark of 23–14. Works was a lawyer by profession and coached the team only during the evenings. According to UCLA player and future Olympian Frank Lubin, Works was "more of an honorary coach" with little basketball knowledge. Mount Works
The Everett Range () is a rugged, mainly ice-covered range nearly long between Greenwell Glacier and Ebbe Glacier in northwest Victoria Land, Antarctica. Discovery and naming The Everett Range was mapped by the United States Geological Survey (USGS) from ground surveys and aerial photographs taken by the United States Navy in the period 1960–63. It was named by the United States Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for Commander William H. Everett, U.S. Navy, Commander of Antarctic Squadron Six (VX-6), 1962–63. Location The Everett Range is in the Concord Mountains. Everett Spur is the northwest point, where the Ebbe Glacier meets the Lillie Glacier, which flows north along the west of the range. Mount Dockery, Mount Matthias, Pilon Peak and Mount Works are in the northwest section, west of the Horne Glacier, which flows south into the Greenwell Glacier where it joins the Lillie Glacier. IBM Works is an office suite for the IBM OS/2 operating system. It includes word processing, spreadsheet, database and PIM applications. Originally developed as Legato by IBM UK, it was later taken over by Footprint in Canada Canada is a country in North America. Microsoft Works
Microsoft Works is a discontinued office suite, productivity software suite developed by Microsoft and sold from 1987 to 2009. Its core functionality includes a word processor, a spreadsheet and a database management system. Later versions have a calendar application and a dictionary while older releases include a terminal emulator. Works is available as a standalone program and as part of a namesake home productivity suite. Because of its low cost, companies frequently preinstalled Works on their low-cost machines. Works is smaller, less expensive, and has fewer features than contemporary major office suites such as Microsoft Office.
