Women's Flat Track Derby Association Division 3
The Women's Flat Track Derby Association Division 3 (WFTDA Division 3) was the third level of play in women's flat track roller derby, from 2013 through 2014. Organisation Historically, the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) operated four regions, based on geographic location: East Region (WFTDA), East, North Central Region (WFTDA), North Central, South Central Region (WFTDA), South Central and West Region (WFTDA), West. At the start of 2013, these were replaced by three divisions, each operating worldwide. However, foreseeing continued growth in membership, the WFTDA stated that future developments were likely to include new regional structures alongside the divisional system. Roller derby is a roller skating contact sport played on an oval track by two teams of five skaters. A'Salt Creek Roller Girls
A'Salt Creek Roller Derby (ACRD) is a gender neutral flat track roller derby league in Casper, Wyoming, founded in December 2009. Player-owned and operated, A'Salt Creek fields a single team that competes against teams from other leagues. The league name is taken from the nearby Salt Creek Oil Field, one of the oldest and most productive oil fields in the area. A'Salt Creek is a member of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA). ACRG played their first bout against the Rushmore Rollerz in Rapid City, South Dakota, on June 19, 2010, winning by one point (159-158). Bay State Brawlers Roller Derby, (BSB), is a flat-track roller derby league based in the twin cities of Fitchburg and Leominster, Massachusetts. Founded in 2008, Bay State is a member of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA). History and Organization Bay State was founded in 2008 as "Central Mass Roller Derby", and became Bay State Brawlers Roller Derby in 2011. Bay State joined the WFTDA Apprentice Program in 2013, and became a full member league in July 2014. Auld Reekie Roller Derby (ARRD) is a women's flat track roller derby league based in Edinburgh, Scotland. Founded in 2008, ARRD was the first Scottish Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) member. The league aims to create teams with the ability to compete locally and internationally at the highest levels. Salt City Roller Derby (SCRD) is a women's flat track roller derby league based in Syracuse, New York.
