Wii Games
The Wii is Nintendo's fifth home video game console, released during the History of video game consoles (seventh generation), seventh generation of video games. It is the successor to the GameCube, and was first launched in North America on November 19, 2006, followed by a launch in Japan and PAL regions in December 2006. This list of Wii games documents all games released for the Wii video game console. The list of GameCube games lists the GameCube games compatible with the Wii’s backwards compatibility (although later Wii models removed the controller ports and memory card slots required to play GameCube games, they can be inserted back in through hardware modding) while the list of WiiWare games documents all of the smaller, digital only games released for the Wii. HB Studios
HB Studios Multimedia Limited is a Canadian video game developer based in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. It is best known for its rugby and cricket games. History HB Studios was founded in early July 2000 by Jeremy Wellard in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. The company started with nine employees and developed '' Cricket 2002'' for Electronic Arts. The studio entered a multi-project deal with EA Canada in 2004 to continue developing sports games for the EA Sports label, including further games in the ''Rugby'' and ''Cricket'' series, '' FIFA Street 2'' for the PlayStation Portable as well as co-development on '' Madden 07'' for the Wii. This exclusivity deal ended in 2007. In 2008, HB Studios opened a second studio in Halifax, Nova Scotia. At the time, the company had 130 employees. ''2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa'' is the official video game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup, published by EA Sports and available on iOS and all major seventh-generation platforms except the Nintendo DS. Two to four players can compete against each other in a sack race, tennis, and skateboarding. Gamers who set high scores can unlock other games to play. Reception Upon release, ''Sports Party Megamix'' earned mostly negative reviews. Metacritic gave the game a 41/100 based on 7 reviews.
