Telavox
Telavox was a Danish manufacturer of loudspeakers, radios and televisions established in 1924 by Clemen Jørgensen in Copenhagen, Denmark. The company was from 1929 based in Vanløse. It was acquired by To-R in 1952. The company established a production of clocks during World War II. The clocks were sold under the name Clementa by a separate company, after 1952. History Clemen Jørgensen (1893–1932), a clock-maker from Silkeborg, moved to Copenhagen in 1921. In 1924, he established a production of horn loudspeakers in his own apartment. In 1925, he moved the activities to a backroom on Hostrupsvej. They were sold under the name Element through the wholesaler J. Axel Christensen & Co. at Nørrevoldgade 52. Later in 1925, Jørgensen established a production line in a building in the courtyard at Borgergade 108. His brother, Magnus Jørgensen, a furniture-maker, became a partner in the company. Vanløse Railway Station
Vanløse station is an S-train and rapid transit railway station serving the district of Vanløse in Copenhagen, Denmark. The station is an intermediate station on the Frederikssund radial of Copenhagen's S-train network and is the western terminus of lines M1 and M2 of the Copenhagen Metro. It is located in fare zone 2. The station has two platforms, the lower level platform is used for metro services, and the upper level platform is used for S-train services on the Frederikssund line. Between 1934 and 2002 the station was the terminus of S-trains on the Ring Line, which reversed at a platform formerly located on the site of the metro station. Vanlose Stairway
"Vanlose Stairway" is a song written by the Northern Irish singer-songwriter Van Morrison, and included on his 1982 album '' Beautiful Vision''. It has remained a popular concert performance throughout Morrison's career and has become one of his most played songs. Recording and composition It was recorded in the summer of 1981 at the Record Plant in Sausalito, California. Morrison wrote the song about his Danish girlfriend, Ulla Munch, from Vanløse district in Copenhagen who lived on the fourth floor of an apartment building with no lift. Clinton Heylin remarks..."he turned this mundane set of stairs in an uninspiring block of flats into a 'Stairway that reaches up to the moon/And it comes right back....to you'. ''The Olsen Gang Sees Red'' () is a 1976 Danish comedy film directed by Erik Balling and starring Ove Sprogøe, Morten Grunwald and Poul Bundgaard. The film was the eighth in the ''Olsen Gang''-series, and was selected as the Danish entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 49th Academy Awards, but was not accepted as a nominee. Plot Egon is released once again from the prison in Vridsløselille, where he is received by Kjeld and Benny, after which they drive home to Kjeld and Yvonne. The ''Olsen Gang'' (, ) is a Denmark, Danish comedy film series created by Danish director Erik Balling and special effects expert Henning Bahs about the eponymous fictional criminal gang. The gang's leader is the criminal genius and habitual offender Egon Olsen and his accomplices are Benny and Kjeld (Kjell in Norwegian). The gang members are harmless, extremely rarely target ordinary citizens, and never deliberately use violence. The first film came in 1968; during the next thirty years a total of fourteen films were made. A Norwegian version of the film series was also made (a total of 14 films from 1969 to 1999), in most cases based directly on the scripts for the Danish films. Valby () is one of the 10 official districts of Copenhagen Municipality, Denmark. It is in the southwestern corner of Copenhagen Municipality, and has a mixture of different types of housing. This includes apartment blocks, terraced housing, areas with single-family houses and allotments, plus the remaining part of the old Valby village, around which the district has formed, intermingled with past and present industrial sites. Rødovre
Rødovre () is a town in eastern Denmark, seat of the Rødovre Municipality, in the Capital Region of Denmark, Region Hovedstaden. The town's population 1 January 2019 was 39,907, and in addition 145 persons had no fixed address, which made up a total of 40,052 in the municipality as a whole.
