Viikki
Viikki () is a neighbourhood of about 15,000 inhabitants in Helsinki, Finland. It is located at the bottom of ''Vanhankaupunginlahti'' bay, some 7–10 km from the city centre. The district hosts the Viikki Campus with four of the faculties of the University of Helsinki (biosciences, pharmacy, veterinary medicine, and agriculture and forestry) as well as other university units such as research centres, science library and teacher training school. Viikki is known for its natural environment. The conservation area of ''Vanhankaupunginlahti'' is an important place of nesting and migration for birds. Large fields and farmlands are cultivated by a teaching farm that is part of the university's agricultural faculty. Vik Church (Flatanger)
Vik Church () or Flatanger Church () is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Flatanger Municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located in the village of Vik. It is the main church for the Flatanger parish which is part of the Namdal prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Nidaros. The white, wooden church was built in a long church style in 1873 using plans drawn up by the architect Jacob Wilhelm Nordan. The church seats about 300 people. Stalag VI-K Senne (also known as Stalag 326) was a German World War II prisoner-of-war (POW) camp. It was named after the natural region Senne, mainly a heath landscape, where the camp was located, near to the town of Schloß Holte-Stukenbrock, in today North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. During the war the camp held mostly Soviet prisoners of war, but also some French, Polish and Italians. The camp was overrun by the rapidly-advancing 2nd Armored Division on 2 April 1945, with troops of the U.S. 117th Infantry Regiment, 30th Division, subsequently taking control. Close to the camp there are 36 mass graves of Soviet POW, and in addition around 400 graves of other men who died in the camp. Vik Records was a subsidiary of RCA Victor Records established in April 1953. In the ''Billboard'' issue of the 11th of that month, it was announced that RCA was launching, namelessly, a new label that was the company's first to be distributed independently. ''Billboard'' opted to use the name Label "X" for the new company. The name was kept, as the label began to hire a series of staffers and decide on a direction. Label X was officially formed on April 20, 1953. Though wholly owned and operated by RCA, it had its own independent distribution. Joe Carlton was the head of the new company.
