Unión Deportiva Almería, S.A.D. () is a List of football clubs in Spain, Spanish professional football club based in Almería, in the autonomous community of Andalusia. Founded on 26 July 1989 and known as ''Almería Club de Fútbol'' until 2001, when it was renamed ''Unión Deportiva Almería''. UD Almería Stadium
UD Almería Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Almería, Spain. It is the home ground of UD Almería, and holds 17,400 people. History Inaugurated on 31 July 2004 and originally built for the 2005 Mediterranean Games, the stadium cost around €21 million, which was paid by the '' Ayuntamiento de Almería''. It subsequently became UD Almería's home stadium, replacing Estadio Municipal Juan Rojas, with the latter being used by the reserve team. The stadium was expanded from 15,000 to 21,350 after Almería's promotion to La Liga. Since 2012, the club uses extra seats behind the goals to avoid the use of the part of the stadium which is the furthest of the pitch. With this configuration, the capacity is reduced to 15,274. In August 2021, the Ayuntamiento de Almería agreed to grant the operation of the stadium to UD Almería for a 25-year period. Juan Manuel Lillo
Juan Manuel "Juanma" Lillo Díez (born 3 November 1965) is a Spanish football manager. Having started coaching before his 20s, he was the youngest manager in charge of a La Liga club, having taken over Salamanca at not yet 30 years of age. He also coached Oviedo, Tenerife, Zaragoza and Almería in the top-flight, and had spells in charge of clubs in Mexico, Colombia, Japan, China and Qatar. The 2010–11 La Liga (known as the ''Liga BBVA'' for sponsorship reasons) was the 80th season of La Liga since its establishment. The campaign began on 28 August 2010, and concluded on 21 May 2011.
