UCI Women's Teams
A UCI Women's Team is a women's road bicycle team sanctioned by the International Cycling Union (Union Cycliste Internationale, UCI). These teams compete in the major List of women's road bicycle races, women's bicycle races including the UCI Women's World Tour. The country designation of each team is determined by the country of registration of the most its riders, and is not necessarily the country where the team is registered or based. WorldTeams UCI Women's WorldTeams are automatically invited to compete in UCI Women's World Tour events. As of 2025, the fifteen UCI Women's WorldTeams are: Former WorldTeams ProTeams UCI Women's ProTeams were introduced for the 2025 season, creating a structure similar to that of the men's teams. Union Cycliste Internationale
The Union Cycliste Internationale (; UCI; ) is the world governing body for sports cycling and oversees international competitive cycling events. The UCI is based in Aigle, Switzerland. The UCI issues racing licenses to riders and enforces disciplinary rules, such as in matters of doping. The UCI also manages the classification of races and the points ranking system in various cycling disciplines including road and track cycling, mountain biking, cyclo-cross, Gravel, and BMX, for both men and women, amateur and professional. It also oversees the World Championships. After the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, the UCI said that Russian and Belarusian teams were forbidden from competing in international events.
