As a metropolitan area of about 30 million people, Jakarta has a variety of transport systems. Jakarta was awarded 2021 global Sustainable Transport Award (STA) for integrated public transportation system. The city prioritized development of road networks, which were mostly designed to accommodate private vehicles. A notable feature of Jakarta's present road system is the toll road network. Composed of an Jakarta Inner Ring Road, inner and Jakarta Outer Ring Road, outer ring road and five toll roads radiating outwards, the network provides inner as well as outer city connections. An 'odd-even' policy limits road use to cars with either odd or even-numbered registration plates on a particular day as a transitional measure to alleviate traffic congestion until the future introduction of electronic road pricing. Dukuh Atas TOD ( or ''KBT Dukuh Atas'') is a transit-oriented development area between Central Jakarta and South Jakarta, Indonesia. This is built as part of constructing several other transit oriented development across Jakarta to facilitate commuters to transfer between different mode of public transportation. The development includes station of Jakarta MRT, Sudirman station of KRL Commuterline, BNI City of Airport Rail Link, Dukuh Atas LRT station of Jabodebek LRT, and TransJakarta bus services. It spreads from Jl. Kendal beside Sudirman station in Central Jakarta through underpass to Jl. Blora and Jl. Tanjung Karang. Jakarta Inner Ring Road (), also known as the Jakarta Inner-City Toll Road () is a toll road circling the city of Jakarta, Indonesia. On northern and the eastern section, the toll road is grade-separated with the Sosrobahu road construction technique (also used in the Skyway (Metro Manila), Metro Manila Skyway and one half of the Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Skyway). Transjakarta (stylised in all-lowercase, often erroneously called Busway, sometimes shortened as TJ and branded as TiJe) or Jakarta BRT is a bus rapid transit (BRT) system in Jakarta, Indonesia. The first BRT system in Southeast Asia, it commenced operations on 15 January 2004 to provide a fast public transport system to help reduce rush hour traffic. High-speed Rail In Indonesia
Indonesia operates a single high-speed rail service between the country's capital and largest city Jakarta, and third largest city Bandung. It is branded as Whoosh (short for , ) and operated by Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC). The Whoosh is the first high-speed railway in Southeast Asia and the Southern Hemisphere. It covers a distance of with a maximum operating speed of , and design speed of KCIC400AF train of , making it the fastest commercially operating railway network in the world, tied with a handful of lines in China. Pulo Gebang Bus Terminal
Pulo Gebang Bus Terminal is a type-A bus terminal at Cakung in East Jakarta, Indonesia, arguably the largest in Southeast Asia. The terminal was opened on 28 December 2016. Designed by Paul Tanjung Tan, it was built to replace the unfeasible Pulo Gadung terminal and provide a comfortable, safe, and well-accessible transportation service. Buses to and from Central and East Java usually use this terminal. The bus terminal has a land area of about 12.6 hectares with four building blocks. Each passenger terminal has a four-story building with elevators, escalators, automatic doors, AC waiting rooms and surveillance cameras or CCTV. The terminal has dedicated areas for the food court, retail shop, mosque, car parking, health centre etc. It is also become the terminus of Transjakarta's BRT and feeder buses.
