It was created by Sean Akins and Jason DeMarco and currently produced by Williams Street, a subsidiary of Warner Bros. Television Studios. The block is owned by The Cartoon Network, Inc., a subsidiary of Warner Bros. Discovery. The name is a portmanteau of the words " cartoon" and "tsunami". Williams Street Productions, LLC, formerly known as Ghost Planet Industries, is an American animation and live action television production studio owned by the Warner Bros. Television Studios division of Warner Bros., a unit of Warner Bros. Discovery. The studio is the in-house production arm of Cartoon Network's nighttime programming block Adult Swim. Sonny Strait is an American voice actor, ADR director, and writer, known for his work on a number of English versions of Japanese anime series and as an illustrator for the independently published comic book series ''Elfquest.''
