Facebook Study
Onavo, Inc. was an Israeli mobile web analytics company that was purchased by Facebook, Inc. (now Meta Platforms), who changed the company's name to Facebook Israel. The company primarily performed its activities via consumer mobile apps, including the virtual private network (VPN) service Onavo Protect, which analysed web traffic sent through the VPN to provide statistics on the usage of other apps. Guy Rosen and Roi Tiger founded Onavo in 2010. In October 2013, Onavo was acquired by Facebook, which used Onavo's analytics platform to monitor competitors. This influenced Facebook to make various business decisions, including its 2014 acquisition of WhatsApp. Since the acquisition, Onavo was frequently classified as being spyware, as the VPN was used to monetize application usage data collected within an allegedly privacy-focused environment. Eduard Study
Christian Hugo Eduard Study ( ; 23 March 1862 – 6 January 1930) was a German mathematician known for work on invariant theory of ternary forms (1889) and for the study of spherical trigonometry. He is also known for contributions to space geometry, hypercomplex numbers, and criticism of early physical chemistry. Study was born in Coburg in the Duchy of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha. Career Eduard Study began his studies in Jena, Strasbourg, Leipzig, and Munich. He loved to study biology, especially entomology. He was awarded the doctorate in mathematics at the University of Munich in 1884. Paul Gordan, an expert in invariant theory was at Leipzig, and Study returned there as Privatdozent. In 1888 he moved to Marburg and in 1893 embarked on a speaking tour in the U.S.A. ''Studies: An Irish Quarterly Review'' is an Irish scholarly journal established in 1912, with its first issue published in March 1912. It is published by Messenger Publications for the Jesuits of Ireland. Its current editor, appointed in 2021, is Dr Dermot Roantree, of the Irish Jesuit Communications office. He is the first lay editor of the journal. Other editors have included P. J. Connolly S.J.(from 1916 to 1950), Fergus O'Donoghue S.J. (2001–2011) and Bruce Bradley S.J.(2011–2021). The Study
The Study is an English-language private education all-girls school in Westmount, Quebec. The school was founded in 1915 by a young Englishwoman named Margaret Gascoigne. The Study offers a bilingual mother tongue education to 386 students from Kindergarten to grade 11. As of 2016, a certificate of eligibility for English instruction is no longer required for any grade as The Study does not receive government subsidies. Students are divided into four houses: Mu Gamma (blue), Kappa Rho (green), Beta Lambda (white), Delta Beta (yellow). The soundtrack uses a variety of musical genres including hard rock, psychedelic rock, new age, funk rock, gothic rock and thrash metal. The original score was composed by Paolo Benetazzo, Roberto Chemello and Jean Charles Carbone. ''Study (Young Male Nude Seated Beside the Sea)'' (French: ''Jeune Homme nu assis au bord de la mer, figure d'étude'') is an oil-on-canvas painting by the French artist Hippolyte Flandrin executed between 1835 and 1836. It is held in the Louvre, in Paris, and is the best-known work by the artist. History Flandrin had won the Prix de Rome in 1832, a bursary which provided the winner with a trip to Rome to concentrate on their vocation. There, Flandrin produced this study, which he sent back to Paris in 1837, in fulfillment of the bursary's requirements for the student to submit works in the tradition of various genres. In art, a study is a drawing, Sketch (drawing), sketch or painting done in preparation for a finished piece, as visual notetaking, notes, or as practice. Studies are often used to understand the problems involved in rendering subjects and to plan the elements to be used in finished works, such as light, color, form, perspective (graphical), perspective and composition. Study skills or study strategies are approaches applied to learning. Study skills are an array of skills which tackle the process of organizing and taking in new information, retaining information, or dealing with assessments. They are discrete techniques that can be learned, usually in a short time, and applied to all or most fields of study. More broadly, any skill which boosts a person's ability to study, retain and recall information which assists in and passing exams can be termed a study skill, and this could include time management and motivational techniques.
