Stryn is a List of municipalities of Norway, municipality in the Counties of Norway, county of Vestland, Norway. It is located in the Districts of Norway, traditional district of Nordfjord. The administrative center of the municipality is the village of Stryn (village), Stryn. The municipality is located along the innermost part of the Nordfjorden (Sogn og Fjordane), Nordfjorden. Stryn Sommerski
Stryn Sommerski () is a ski resort in the municipality of Stryn, Norway. The ski resort is located along the 100-year-old national tourist route, Gamle Strynefjellsveien (), 45 km East of Stryn city centre. From Oslo Int'l Airport Gardermoen it's about a 5 hours drive to the North. The ski resort opened in 1972 and is the largest summer ski area in Northern Europe. It is based near an arm of the glacier Jostedalsbreen but the skiing area is mainly outside the glacier. Innvik Municipality
Innvik is a former municipality in the old Sogn og Fjordane county in Norway. The municipality existed from 1838 until 1965. Innvik is located in the present-day Stryn Municipality in Vestland county, encompassing about the western third of the present municipality. Innvik included both sides of the Nordfjorden, from Randabygda in the west to just west of the village of Stryn. It stretched from the border with Hornindal Municipality in the north, through the Oldedalen valley all the way to the Jostedalsbreen glacier in the south. History The municipality was established as ''Indvigen'' formannskapsdistrikt on 1 January 1838. In 1843, the eastern part of the municipality was separated from Innvik to form the new Stryn Municipality, leaving Innvik with 2,675 inhabitants. Stryn is the administrative centre of Stryn Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The village is located on the shore of a small bay off of the main Nordfjorden. Oppstrynsvatn
Oppstrynsvatn (also known as ''Oppstrynsvatnet'', ''Strynevatnet'', or ''Strynevatn'') is a lake in the municipality of Stryn in Vestland county, Norway. It is located about east of the village of Stryn (village), Stryn (the administrative centre of the municipality). The villages of Flo, Norway, Flo, Oppstryn, and Erdal, Sogn og Fjordane, Erdal are located on the shores of the lake. The lake has an area of and is surrounded by many large mountains and glaciers which feed into the lake. The main outflow of the lake is the river Stryneelva which flows west into the Nordfjorden (Sogn og Fjordane), Nordfjorden. Some of the local attractions include the Jostedalsbreen nasjonalparksenter, Jostedalsbreen National Park, the mountain Skåla (Sogn og Fjordane), Skåla, and the glacier Tindefjellbreen.
