Gary Stempel
Gary Stempel (born 26 January 1957) is a Panamanian Association football, football Coach (sport), manager. Career Prior to his move to Panama, Stempel was a community outreach officer with London club Millwall F.C., Millwall. He enjoyed his greatest success as at club level in a four-year spell as manager of San Francisco F.C., San Francisco, a Panamanian football club, during which he won five Liga Panameña de Fútbol, league titles and two championships with Panama Viejo. It was during this time that he was also given charge of the Panama under-20 and under-23 teams. He qualified Panama to its first-ever 2003 FIFA World Youth Championship, U-20 World Cup in 2003. In 2007, he became manager of Salvadorian club C.D. Águila, Águila and in 2008 he was given the opportunity to take charge of the Panama national football team, Panama national team. Herbert Stempel
Herbert Milton Stempel (December 19, 1926 – April 7, 2020) was an American television game show contestant and subsequent whistleblower on the fraudulent nature of the industry, in what became known as the 1950s quiz show scandals. His rigged six-week appearance as a winning contestant on the 1950s show '' Twenty-One'' ended in an equally rigged defeat by Columbia University teacher and literary scion Charles Van Doren. Early life A self-described "avid reader" as a child, who was "interested in everything", Stempel attended P.S. 89 in Queens. He was skipped ahead several classes in school, so much so that his mother worried he was being pushed too far. Robert Stempel
Robert Carl Stempel (July 15, 1933 – May 7, 2011) was chairman and CEO of General Motors (GM) from August1990 to November1992. He joined GM in 1958 as a design engineer at Oldsmobile and was key in the development of the front-wheel drive Toronado. He was also involved with the team that created the first catalytic converter. Background and personal life Stempel was born July 15, 1933, in Trenton, New Jersey, to Carl (a banker) and Eleanor Stempel. He was one of four children. His brother Jack worked in aerospace, brother Ted was a teacher, and a sister, Dorothy, was a social worker. He graduated from Bloomfield High School in New Jersey in 1951. ''Here Come the Brides'' is an American comedy Western television series from Screen Gems that aired on the ABC television network from September 25, 1968, to April 3, 1970. It was loosely based on Asa Mercer's efforts in the 1860s to import marriageable women (the Mercer Girls) from the East Coast cities of the United States to Seattle, where there was a shortage. Synopsis In the pilot episode, smooth-talking, charismatic logging company boss Jason Bolt (Robert Brown) is faced with a shutdown of his operation as lonely lumberjacks are ready to leave Seattle due to the lack of female companionship. D. Stempel AG was a German typographic foundry founded by David Stempel (1869–1927), in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Many important font designers worked for the Stempel foundry, including Hans Bohn, Warren Chappell, F. H. Ehmcke, Friedrich Heinrichsen, Hanns Th. Hoyer, F. W. Kleukens, Erich Meyer, Hans Möhring, Hiero Rhode, Wilhelm Schwerdtner, Herbert Thannhaeuser, Martin Wilke, Rudolf Wolf, Victor Hammer, Hermann Zapf, and Gudrun Zapf von Hesse. With the introduction of '' Memphis'' in 1929, the foundry was the first to cast modern slab serif typefaces. From 1900 to 1983, Stempel had an exclusive relationship with Mergenthaler Linotype Company, as one of just a few producers of matrices for the Linotype machine worldwide and the only one in Europe.
