Southern Ukraine Campaign
The southern front of the Russian invasion of Ukraine is an ongoing Theater (warfare)#Theatre of operation, theatre of operation in the Russian invasion of Ukraine, which began on 24 February 2022. Tokmak
Tokmak (, ) is a small city in Polohy Raion, Zaporizhzhia Oblast, in south-central Ukraine. It stands on the Tokmak River, a tributary of the Molochna. It is the administrative centre of the Tokmak urban hromada, and was the centre of the Tokmak Raion until that was disestablished in 2020. Enerhodar
Enerhodar ( ; , , ; ) is a city and municipality in the northwest of Zaporizhzhia Oblast, Ukraine. It is on the left bank of the Dnieper River, on the opposite side of the Kakhovka Reservoir from Nikopol and Chervonohryhorivka. Its main industry is electricity generation, at coal-fired and large nuclear power stations. It has an estimated population of About 11,000 residents work at the nuclear power station. Snihurivka
Snihurivka ( ) is a small city in Bashtanka Raion, Mykolaiv Oblast, Ukraine. It hosts the administration of . Population: It was occupied by Russia from 19 March 2022 until 10 November 2022. History Snihurivka was a settlement in Kherson uyezd in Kherson Governorate of the Russian Empire. During World War II the settlement was captured by German troops in 1941 and liberated by Soviet forces in the Bereznegovatoye–Snigirevka offensive of March 1944. The Germans operated a Nazi prison in the settlement. Between 30 and 100 Jews from Snihurivka and nearby localities were murdered by Germans in the vicinity of the town in late September 1941.
