Sevendust
Sevendust is an American Rock music, rock band from Atlanta, Georgia, formed in 1994 by bassist Vinnie Hornsby, drummer Morgan Rose and guitarist John Connolly (musician), John Connolly. After their first demo, lead vocalist Lajon Witherspoon and guitarist Clint Lowery joined the group. Following a few name changes, the members settled on the name Sevendust and released their Sevendust (album), self-titled debut album on April 15, 1997, which sold only 310 copies in its first week but ultimately achieved gold certification. Since formation, Sevendust have attained success with three consecutive RIAA gold-certified albums, a Grammy nomination, and have sold millions of records worldwide. Clint Lowery
Clint Edward Lowery (born December 15, 1971) is an American musician, songwriter and producer, best known as a guitarist and backing vocalist in the rock band Sevendust. He has also played in Dark New Day and Still Rain, and served as the touring guitarist for Korn and Seether through most of 2007 and 2017, respectively. In 2008, he decided to work on new music as a solo artist, and the name of the project was titled Hello Demons Meet Skeletons. Lowery wrote and recorded a six-song EP while off the road with Sevendust, just for a week. He played every instrument on the CD, which was produced by his brother Corey Lowery. The EP, ''Chills (album), Chills'', was released in October, followed by a tour at the same month. He would also later release two more EPs with HDMS. ''Sevendust'' is the debut studio album by American rock band Sevendust, released on April 15, 1997, through TVT Records. The Japan reissue has live versions of the songs "Bitch" and "Prayer" as ending bonus tracks. "My Ruin" appeared on the '' Mortal Kombat: More Kombat'' album, credited under the band's original name, Crawlspace. "Too Close to Hate" appeared on the '' Masterminds'' album. The song "Terminator" is featured in MTV television series '' Celebrity Deathmatch''. Sevendust celebrated the 20th anniversary of the release of the album by performing the record in its entirety at a special hometown show on March 17, 2017, at the Masquerade in Atlanta, Georgia. Morgan Rose
Morgan Jay Rose (born December 13, 1968) is an American musician, best known for being a founding member of Atlanta-based alternative metal band Sevendust. In addition to being the band's drummer, he contributes a mix of backing and unclean vocals. Outside of Sevendust, Rose has also played drums for Call Me No One and Tommy Lee's Methods of Mayhem, as well as serving as a fill-in drummer for bands such as Korn and Mötley Crüe. Away from his work as a musician, Rose also serves as the Vice President of Imagen Records. Early life Rose lived in New Jersey until the age of seven, before he and his family moved back to Atlanta, Georgia. John Connolly (musician)
John Connolly (born October 21, 1968) is an American musician best known as one of two guitarists in rock band Sevendust. Connolly is known for his fire-designed custom-made Les Paul guitar designed by Epiphone, but has since switched to Dean Guitars. Career Piece Dogs In 1988, John Connolly, accompanied by vocalist Greg Anderson, guitarist Mike Grimmett and bassist Kyle Sanders started a band called Piece Dogs in Atlanta, Georgia. In 1992, Piece Dogs released an LP titled ''Exes for Eyes'' through Energy Rekords. Connolly was the band's original drummer. The band genre was power and thrash metal. Piece Dogs disbanded several months after releasing the album. Lajon Jermaine Witherspoon (born October 3, 1972) is an American singer best known as the lead vocalist of Atlanta-based rock band Sevendust. Members from bands such as Staind, Seether, Alter Bridge, and Diecast have listed Witherspoon and Sevendust as musical influences. In March 2008, Witherspoon was ranked at number 35 in ''Hit Parader's'' "Top 100 Metal Vocalists of All Time". Ronald D. Mayo (born July 16, 1971) is an American guitarist. He is best known for playing with Snot, Amen, and Sevendust, co-writing several albums. He co-founded Rock to Recovery, a music therapy non-profit, in 2014. Career Mayo began playing in a thrash metal band called Silence in the late 1980s. Silence (John Mayes, Benjamin Gaither, Louie Denslow, Jason Robinson and Sonny), regularly sold out venues in the DC Metro area including the "Bayou" in Georgetown. Twisted Sister was an American Heavy metal music, heavy metal band formed in 1972 in Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey, and later based on Long Island, New York (state), New York.
