Sacachispas Fútbol Club is an Argentine football club from the Villa Soldati district of Buenos Aires. The team currently plays in Primera B Metropolitana, the regionalised third division of the Argentine football league system. History In 1948, Roberto González and Aldo Vázquez, neighbors of Nueva Pompeya at the south of Buenos Aires, decided to form a football team to play the Evita championships. Vázquez played at River Plate lower divisions and contacted former player Carlos Peucelle (who was the coordinator by then) with the objective of River Plate allowed some of its players to play for the recently formed team. The name "Sacachispas" was taken from the fictitious squad that starred in ''Pelota de Trapo'', a movie that had been a huge success in Argentina. Primera C Metropolitana
The Primera C Metropolitana is one of the two professional leagues that form the fourth level of the Argentine football league system. Primera C Metropolitana is made up of 20 clubs, mainly from the city of Buenos Aires and its metropolitan area (Greater Buenos Aires). The other league at level four is the Torneo Federal B, where teams from regional leagues take part. Format Primera C is currently organised into two league tournaments, the Apertura and Clausura, Apertura (opening) and the Apertura and Clausura, Clausura (closing). Primera D Metropolitana
The Primera D was one of two leagues that form the fifth division of the Argentine football league system. Made up of 11 clubs from Buenos Aires Province, the league is the only one that remains amateur. The other league at level five is the Torneo Federal C, where teams from regional leagues take part. It was created in 1950 under the name "Tercera de Ascenso" ("third level of promotion"). The first champion was Liniers. In 1962 the tournament changed its name to "Primera de Aficionados", which lasted to 1974, when it was called "Primera D", which has remained to date. Villa Soldati is a neighbourhood in Buenos Aires, Argentina, located in the South-West of the city. It has a population of approximately 41,000 people, 40% of which live in Barrio Soldati, a public housing development built between 1973 and 1979.
