SCM Holdings
System Capital Management () or SCM is a major Ukrainian financial and industrial holding company established in 2000 in Donetsk, Ukraine. It is currently headquartered in Limassol, Cyprus. The business is controlled by Ukrainian businessman and oligarch Rinat Akhmetov, who owns 100% of the company's shares. In 2011, the group had revenues of around $19.5 billion and assets worth over $28.4 billion. The company includes over 100 businesses in metals and mining, power generation, banking and insurance, telecommunications, media, real estate, and others. SCM employs approximately 200,000 people. The group is audited by PricewaterhouseCoopers. As of May 2022, SCM ( dba SCM Consulting Ltd) was represented in the United States by the Washington, D.C. based public relations firm Qorvis LLC. Donetsk ( , ; ; ), formerly known as Aleksandrovka, Yuzivka (or Hughesovka), Stalin, and Stalino, is an industrial city in eastern Ukraine located on the Kalmius River in Donetsk Oblast, which is currently occupied by Russia as the capital of the Donetsk People's Republic. Czech Hedgehog
The Czech hedgehog ( or ') is a static anti-tank obstacle defense made of metal angle beams or I-beams (that is, lengths with an L- or 𝐈-shaped cross section). It is similar in shape to metal knucklebones, although on a much larger scale. The hedgehog is very effective in keeping light to medium tanks and vehicles from penetrating a line of defense; it maintains its function even when tipped over by a nearby explosion. Media Group Ukraine () was a media holding company that manages System Capital Management Group's television and new media projects. The holding company is a professional investor in Ukrainian media business. Media Group Ukraine was one of the largest media holding companies in Ukraine. In July 2022, it was announced that Rinat Akhmetov (sole owner of the media group) had left the media business. It was announced that Media Group Ukraine plans to give up all broadcast and satellite television licenses and print media licenses in Ukraine in favor of the state, as well as the termination of online media.
