Coraciidae
Coraciidae () is a family of Old World birds, which are known as rollers because of the aerial acrobatics some of these birds perform during courtship or territorial flights. The family contains 13 species and is divided into two genera. Rollers resemble crows in size and build, and share the colourful appearance of kingfishers and bee-eaters, blues and pinkish or cinnamon browns predominating. The two inner front toes are connected, but not the outer one. They are mainly insect eaters, with ''Eurystomus'' species taking their prey on the wing, and those of the genus ''Coracias'' diving from a perch to catch food items from on the ground, like giant shrikes. Although living rollers are birds of warm climates in the Old World, fossil records show that rollers were present in North America during the Eocene. Charles Summerville Roller Jr. (September 8, 1879 – March 16, 1963) was an American college football player and coach. He served as the head football coach at Furman University from 1901 to 1902 and at the Virginia Military Institute (VMI) from 1907 to 1908, compiling a career coaching record of 14–10–5. Roller led the 1902 Furman Baptists football team to wins over North Carolina A&M and South Carolina. From 1903 until 1913 Furman did not field a football team. Stephen Naft (born Siegfried Nacht; 1878–1956), also known by the pseudonym Arnold Roller, was a writer, translator, and anarcho-syndicalist. Life Siegfried Nacht was born in 1878 in Vienna. He worked as an electrical engineer in cities across Europe, where he also spoke and wrote on behalf of syndicalism.
