Quake II Engine
The ''Quake II'' engine (part of id Tech 2) is a game engine developed by id Software for use in their 1997 first-person shooter ''Quake II''. It is the successor to the ''Quake'' engine. Since its release, the ''Quake II'' engine has been licensed for use in several other games. One of the engine's most notable features was out-of-the-box support for hardware-accelerated graphics, specifically OpenGL, along with the traditional software renderer. Stephen Quake
Stephen Ronald Quake (born 1969) is an American physicist, inventor, and entrepreneur. Education and career Quake earned his B.S. in physics and M.S. in mathematics from Stanford in 1991 and his D.Phil. in theoretical physics from Oxford University in 1994 as a Marshall Scholar. His thesis research was in statistical mechanics and the effects of knots on polymers. He did his postdoctoral work at Stanford in single-molecule biophysics with Steven Chu. Quake joined the faculty of the California Institute of Technology at the age of 26, where he rose through the ranks and was ultimately appointed the Thomas and Doris Everhart Professor of Applied Physics and Physics. Quake Lake (officially Earthquake Lake) is a lake in the western United States, on the Madison River in southwestern Montana. Quisp is a sugar-sweetened breakfast cereal from the Quaker Oats Company. It was introduced in 1965 and continued as a mass-market grocery item until the late 1970s. WQKE
WQKE ("The Quake") was a college online-streaming radio station in Plattsburgh, New York. From 1981 until 2022, it had broadcast on terrestrial radio on 93.9 FM. The college radio station was supported by the Student Association of SUNY Plattsburgh. The station's studios were located in the Angell College Center on campus. The antenna was located on the Kehoe Administration Building, which is one of the tallest buildings in Plattsburgh.
